It would help if we knew what the ad looked like. Maybe it's just too suggestive or explicit.

I myself hate facebook and it's not because they don't accept me or something like that but i just don't like using facebook and i don't have any such good reason behind that. Orkut is little bit acceptable but still not great for me. I just prefer using twitter as it's more social and business at the same time.
P.S. I don't have any idea/suggestion to give on "how to get approve on facebook for your ads" Thanks Webmatic |

Keep trying. Sometimes it will be disapproved and then the next person will accept it. Does your landing page use any pop ups? They don't accept pop ups, I know that.

Facebook has some initial problem with their ads. I never got to understand its mechanism properly. And for that reason I do not take facebook as the wise choice. But I feel more comfort in twitter and it seems convenient. So, my policy is, if I can't help it I leave it.

I too have used facebook in the past with a method bought from another forum and didn`t have any positive results. Since then I`ve stoped using it in any way.

I ran a Facebook ad for an affiliate product. I direct linked to their landing page - which isn't all that great - and ran three ads with different headlines / pictures. One ad did better than the others. I ended up making 2 sales. Not great, but it was a 50/50 split. I do plan to advertise again on FB and set up another group of ads, maybe use my own landing page instead of theirs, and try to direct to their cart instead if possible. The affiliate is just having some download issues apparently.
Some Facebook tips: Text has to be grammatically correct English and sentence case Photos cannot be erotic or copyrighted Some offers are banned - biz ops, pharmaceutical companies, online pharmacies, porn and gambling. Some URLS are blacklisted. Test your thumbnails! Most sales are due to the picture used. This is why I used 3 different pictures in my copy. Target the right people. I targeted 21+ for age because I didn't want junk clicks from the teenagers. Plus, it was the 21+ people the product was targeted for. Start with only one country at a time for testing. Have a testing phase first. Run 3 ads with the same demographics and see which is best. Then keep that one and run it again against 2 different ads and see which is best. Do that until you have 3 really good ads. During testing, keep your budget low. Be clever with your keywords. You can go broad here, it's a good thing. You can also target people in a specific workplace or people who like certain things, like woodworking, reading, gardening, model building, depending upon your product. Bidding - take the lowest suggested bid, divide it by 3. That is what you should start the bidding at. You can also opt in to social actions so people can see what ads their friends clicked on. I am going to advertise on FB again soon and finish out my testing phase once the affiliate program gets the download issues fixed. If you do it right and carefully it's a great way to get cheap PPC traffic. |
