I use GoDaddy.com for all of my domain names and you definitely don't have to host it there. Just change your nameserver addresses to your host's addresses. I know that some people don't like GoDaddy b/c of the upsells, etc, but I find them cheap...especially if you can find a discount code by search here on the WF or Google. |

Under $8 can be considered cheap. However, there are some coupons at GoDaddy that can make the domain registration price upto $1.99. 199BUYCOM was such a coupon. I am not sure this is still working at GoDaddy.

Try these...Namecheap.com (sometimes as low as $1.99) you can try startlogic.com, hostgator (about $14.00 per month), Some FREE hosting sites, with no ads and Free Site Builders are: weebly.com, 000space.com...I only recommend using FREE hosting until you can afford to pay for hosting.

depends on yours needs. GoDaddy has the best options for masking and redirection, and you can use their email service for your domain and still host your site wherever you want (to take off some of the load, plus you can move your hosting and never miss any emails!) I only use them for a few domains as they charge $9 after the first year for privacy! NameCheap is my top recommendation. they resolve fast and their prices are about the best overall, especially when you add in that privacy is free for a new domain and renews at $3 (for 1 domain), or you can get 5 privacy renewals for $8 (when you have 38 domains this adds up) KEY |

I always just go to GoDaddy then Google search a coupon code... $7.49/domain is the most I ever pay, sometimes just $1.99

I have all my domains with Go Daddy. I always look for a coupon first. I host with 000webhosting.com and it's great free hosting with no ads. I had no issues changing the nameservers at Go Daddy. I ended up using email at 000webhosting because with the free hosting package I wasn't able to get into some type file I needed to change to use the Go Daddy email system. But the email at 000webhosting is fine and works great. I plan to upgrade to paid hosting this year. Also, if you use Wordpress with 000webhosting.com, they say they have Fantastico installer but it is always "being upgraded" with the free hosting. So I've had to set up all databases myself but it's not that hard. |

I use GoDaddy to purchase all of my domains (20+ so far). Some are parked, most are used, and the rest are re-directs. The ones that are re-directed, I "mask", using their Masking function. No more ugly affiliate URLs and no hosting fees for me to pay. |
