I am pretty sure that Clickbank does not accept CPV (aka PPV) traffic but can't verify that is fact. Can anyone one point me to the place in their TOS that states what is accepted and what is not? Thanks, John |

I've run CPV traffic to many different clickbank offers and I've never had a problem. I don't know why they would care. A sale is sale.

Also, ChrisBa - it is not a CPA Network. No account managers that I am aware of. Regards, John | |

Why would they care about EPC? As an affiliate I might care about that, but as a vendor I would care about selling as many products as I can.

In fact for some of the niches I start with CPV just to test the market and then move to ppc - so yeah no issues with cb.

Yes, they allow CPV traffic. They refer affiliates to DirectCPV to buy traffic to run their CPA offers.

It doesn't really matter. Any network is going to accept your CPV traffic if you're feeding it through a landing page first. And that's something you absolutely want to be doing if you're promoting a Clickbank product. They're notorious for the ugly sales letter page design - a pretty nasty mismatch with CPV fixed window viewing. Build a landing page and you can use CPV for just about anything. |

I'm surprised they allow it since I believe CPV (parasitic Adware) is probably the biggest reason for most of the lost/stolen sales that CB affiliates complain about.

Yes it is allowed. Now many CPA networks do not allow it. But theres ways around it...like building a list then promoting a cpa offer etc.

According to clickbank.com/terms.html under section 3b) of the Promotional Guidelines clickbank does NOT allow CPV. May need to request a refund for some the product I bought which use CPV..... |

I followed the URL clickbank.com/terms.html and it leads to the Clickbank Client Contract. It is not "Promotional Guidelines" as stated. There is a section 3b but section 3 is "Selling Products" and subsection "b" is about downloading software. There is another page "Vendor Promotional Messaging Guidelines" but there is no section 3b. There is nothing on either page about CPV traffic. I've emailed support to ask them about this issue and will report on their response. |

What would be the best way to approach this with a landing page? Just a fancy graphical description of what the product is offering? I.E something along the lines of a cigarete with a no entry sign and then in big letters "Click here for help giving up today" The traffic sources im using are very cheap yet they are not targeted so im assuming going broad with an offer such as the one above would convert okish.. the traffic is world wide and is only 40cent per 1k visitors.. but im assuming 50% of those would speak english so its 40cents per 500 visitors really |

Clickbank isn't a CPA network so from what I know, they focus on sales not lead generation . I would take the advice of other warriors and build a landing page before I start any promotion. Now,it's up to you to either go for the sale 'straight up' or build your e-mail list and mail your subscribers offers, additional information and training. I'd spend some time testing CPV networks for quality of traffic and CTR |
