Hey guys, Not sure if you are following Perry Marshalls blog about adwords. But I woke up this morning to a very pleasant surprise. (Not really).. I woke up to 23 of my accounts being shut down, and my quality scores went from 9 to 1..... haha Anyways heres why mainly: Review sites, affiliate links on the website and the flogs are getting nailed pretty darn hard. There is still away around it using .php script on your domains, and putting a professional capture page infront of the actual offer and building a list. But if you notice many of the "google money system review sites" are gone, or have modified there affiliate links. Just giving everyone a heads up. |

Yup, they are retroactively banning people as well. So even if you aren't running those types of offers currently, but you have in the past, your account could be in jeopardy.

I don't think anyone should be too surprised that Google is cracking down on anyone promoting all the BS make money with Google programs. Most of the landing pages I have seen are very misleading...while the fine print may say they are not associated with Google...the headlines give the impression that at the very least Google doesn't disapprove. I am surprised that Google ever allowed these ads in the first place. Review sites in general are a different issue. I have been following Perry Marshall and it sounds like eventually Google will be slapping all of these review type sites, even those using redirects. I don't understand the tech aspects about how they can detect these sites automatically, but my guess is that as a result of all the recent account bans, advertisers will start being more careful/paranoid about following any future Google 'rules.' I think people who want to continue using Google should be prepared to start being more creative and put more work into the landing pages they want to promote. As mentioned by OP, using Google to build a list of prospects that you can then promote to away from Google. Robyn |

Have you visited a low-quality page or made a purchase that was not honored? Which is great for us honest folk - but what if your competitors are jealous and out to sabotage your sites?? |
