Direct Linking To Merchant's Page

When you use a direct link to the merchant – Is it recommend that you
use a domain name and redirect it to the merchant’s link?

I personally do this so I can make changes, if I wanted to ad a landing page or rotate offers it just makes it easier.

You don't have to change it but if someone else is direct linking and using that URL already then Google doesn't display 2 of the same.
