Default Competing with yourself in PPV?

If you have several offers running in the same niche, do you take care to make sure the targets are different for each so as not to compete with yourself?

Default Re: Competing with yourself in PPV?

I’m not familiar with ppv, I’ve heard this is like adware, am I right?

In ppc and sometimes even inorganic search, I usually try to compete with myself in several ways within my own niche, hence decreasing my competition’s chance of invading my market.

My secret is I have three brands (totaly ndependent from one annother), one is cheap, another medium priced and the last one expensive, as you see my products compete with themselves, but each within a very specific niche (niche within a niche if you may) segmented by price. I have sometimes even compared them one against the other pretty successfully as the user sees the benefit of paying a product with a higher price tag (more features and better service) or they decide for a lower price, either way they are my products so it’s a win/win situation….

Hope this is what you were asking about! :-P

If there is sufficient traffic, you can target the same url in different campaigns, but you definitely want to be aware and make sure that you are not bidding against yourself.

Remember you can set a limit on how often the same person sees your website on a per campaign basis...so it is possible to target the same url without bidding against yourself. Hope this is clear to those using PPV/CPV traffic.

It's not too hard to imagine how you can make the mistake of bidding against yourself if your general inclination is to always do what it takes to get highest position when you first set up your campaigns or even when you are making adjustments.
