Default What type of site for CPA offers?

Hello! I'm new both in this forum and in the IM world.

Can anyone help to explain what kind of site you usually build to promote CPA offer? Let's say I'm promoting one of acai berry product. My understanding is you need to boost your site ranking by writing various articles in web 2.0 sites and interlink them and point to the main site. But what should I put on the main site itself? Another article/review with direct link to vendor site? Or sales pitch page with 'buy now' button which also links to vendor page? I'm a little bit confused here ...

Review Blogs / Fake Info Blogs (which are now being banned by google) / Slick Landing Pages . . .

Those all work well.

You can put a review up on your main site with links to the offer page. Wordpress blogs seem to work best. You can also use a web 2.0 property as your money page to test the market as those seem to get traction in the Search Engines faster.

I use Wordpress blogs powered by wpdirect.com and use Easy Push Button Traffic to drive traffic to my blogs. The CPA offers are placed on the right or left side back with an image of the product. I used the plugin WP Easy Ads to place my CPA offers, Clickbank offers, and Adsense.

Freebie Incentive Websites - Also known as "get a free ipod" but the FIW have went way beyond just a free ipod now. There are some scripts on the market but mostly junk scripts that are not secured...

Freebie Incentive Websites - Have turned into specialized membership website websites because it is the members that do the CPA offers and you provide them with a incentive to do them. Incentive can be in the form of cash money or a gift that they choose. They can reach their payout by referring others who are required to do X offers before they are counted as a referral.

I have an advanced scripts but not sure if your budget you be able to cover the cost of the script...

Back a few months ago, you could simply put up fake blogs (flogs), review sites, and other simple landing or splash pages to promote cpa offers. Google and other search engines now make it a lot more diificult for these one page wonders.

You should now focus on building a site with content, links, information, sitemaps, contact pages, etc etc. Its a ton more work, but worth it in the end.

News article type sites are also doing extremely well with some traffic.

PM me if you have any specific questions, but in the end its about getting targeted traffic!

Totally agree Kenster!

Just reading about a Google slap years ago was enough to cause me to put a little more time in and create authority sites around niches. For one I do not wasting my time once I have put in the effort and two it just makes more sense to create something that not only pays me in my sleep but something that gains value over time and I can always sell it for nice profit at any time.

Thanks everyone for your input! I didn't realised this thread was moved to the CPA board

James - I thought most networks don't allow incentive traffic? I have practically have no budget now so incentive website or PPC are out for now.

Kenster - So eventually I will be promoting more than 1 products on that site? Because I assume it does not make sense if I only promote 1 product on a site with lots of contents. Am I right?

Lots of CPA offers have sales letter kind of page and my first thought is it will look fishy if I give glowing review about the product then direct the visitors to vendor page. What do you guys think?

Instead of building blogs, submit articles to article directories with link back to your cpa offer.Use double meta redirect

Good luck

It is essentially a way to hide where your traffic is coming from. CPA netoworks can generally track exactly what sources your traffic is coming from, but with dmr it basically hides or disguises where your traffic is coming from.

Double meta means you hide the referrer, when they look where the traffic comes from, they see no referrer,it means you blank the referrer

I see lots of people recommending ways to block the referrer from the AM. Why would the AMs get mad if they saw you were blocking? I would think they would expect blocking from their sophisticated users.

It all depends. There is no one correct way. There are hundreds of different ways. Landing pages are still the number one way in my book, even if it has trouble in google. There are WH techniques and BH techniques, you just need to find a few and scale it up.

They can get mad because the only way for them to know you are promoting within their TOS are by looking at your traffic source. If you are hiding your traffic, they assume either you are using traffic/methods that violate their TOS or that you have a good traffic source that you dont want to reveal to them for fear they will do the same thing.

Its a tough balancing act because no publisher wants to reveal a great traffic source. Your best bet is to spread out over multiple networks and build strong relationships with all your ams.

In the end, if your traffic is converting on the advertisers end, it shouldnt be too diffcult to convince your am you dont want to reveal your traffic to the network and they should understand. Its a win win for everyone

1. Flogs (Fake Blogs): As said earlier, those blogs are made up of only a few sites of content, basically giving a review about a certain offer in a certain niche. Many of them are telling a personal story, so people think they really just found a blog of some average guy having tested this certain offer, never expecting to be presold by an IM. As for the natural results section of the SERPS, I haven't seen any "slap" concerning these blogs, i thought it was only for PPC?! -> The personal approach

2. Niche sites: These sites are made for trying to educate the visitor. they mostly have anywhere between 5 to 50 pages of content. When creating a niche site, your main target is to be seen as an authority for the topic the site is about. As soon as you managed to do that, you can use this authority status to tell people that a certain product within this niche is great and they should go get it. -> The "giving value" approach (my favourite^^)

3. Review sites: Somewhat a mixture between 1 and 2, reviewing many products in a certain niche and saying that one certain offer is the best within this niche. Hint: the best offer is often the best paying offer in an "unbiased review". However, it is still important to be seen as an authority by the visitor, so these sites often have some additional articles about the niche, educating the visitor.

4. CPA Poll sites: Asking someone "good" questions about a certain niche and then sending them to an offer is a great approach. You can make the answers given by the visitors have an influence on the site they're being sent to, skyrocketing you conversions. Additionally, everyone likes being taken "serious" and being asked questions.

Those were the 4 main type of sites I had been most successful with concerning CPA offers. The other important thing is traffic generation. There are too many ways of doing that to name them all here, but these are the most known ones: SEO (Search Engine optimisation, free, huge topic to learn), PPC (Pay-per-click, not for free), PPV (pay-per-view, not for free), Article Marketing (free), Social Media Traffic (free).
Take a look into the WSO section, there are great offers about almost every single method of traffic generation you can imagine.

I hope I could give you a small overview about how it works.

This is gold right here. If you can drive traffic to a incentive-based membership site you will be smooth sailing.

The script that I've seen out there that is 99% flowless is Fsrevolution. $300 for one license and $700 for a multi-license.

For further research/reading on the subject, I suggest you google the Free Lunch Room and talk so some people who are starting their own incentive sites.
