Just looking at my stats - and I was wondering if there are any official figures I can use to decide if my Impressions/CTR are rubbish or not? How many impressions without any clicks do I need before I decide an ad slot or creative isn't working? Or are there other methods you'd use instead/as well as? Cheers |

I look at my EPC. If it drops bellow of what I am paying, I move on. I find that to be a great indicator but yet again I pick campaigns with a higher margin and I tend to go through them quickly.

Obviously the more impressions, the more reliable the stats but if I wanted to quickly make a decision, I'd like to get at least 100 impressions to determine the CTR %.

Cheers, #2: it's all free traffic, so I am trying to optimise the income side only. #3: cheers, I've got 1000-5000 for most of them so can probably decide now then. Just delivered about 150,000 across a whole bunch and need to do some culling. |

The CTR always depends on the niche. For entertainment related niches, expect to have a lot of impressions and clicks with lower conversions, but for less saturated niches, if your not getting a 1 in 100 CTR you should probably look into other ideas.

Eventualy, what counts is the conversion - if you are selling. If you just want to boost traffic, there are easier ways to it other than advertising

I personally watch my amount of clicks and total spend, and that varies per campaign depending on the payout.

If after 200 impressions on a keyword your ad has below a 1% CTR kill the ad, and write a new one, if it continues to be below 1%CTR after trying different ads, pause the keyword. | |
