It seems like a lot of people have different views when it comes to this but imo unless your dropping large amounts of money than stick with CPC. This is especially true if your just testing it out. ![]() Zach |

I've tested about 15-20 different offers....only one worked for me. So better stay at PPC. When you managed it to get a high CTR than you could switch to CPM.... But mainly I see the problems in getting high CTR & clicks.... Just my 2 cents, TheScalper |

Facebook is a tough traffic source, unless you have money (and time) to burn I would suggest starting off with adwords/adcenter/ysm/ppv before you go to facebook. That's not to say it's useless, if you get the right ad with the right offer and landing page you can make tons of money within hours. But like I said it can be a big pain to tweak a campaign.

A good ad on FB would be something like - " 18-25 year olds needed to test iphone 32gb, email required." That converts like crazy |

start with neither facebook is only good for CPA adverts in my option an sometimes then they may disprove your adverts on fb ppc is too expensive unless it is a good niche or keyword you may have, i would do media buys on myspace for guarenteed traffic and everywere else plus organic traffic, places like bing ad centre and yahoo marketing if you are going to do ppc |

A friend of mine who makes his money doing online marketing and promoting local business swears by them. I suspect that is because he very specifically targets the demographics the business wants to reach. I think facebook ads are a fine art, and it is not an art form I would be confident or comfortable getting into right now. |

Guess there are so many people trying to directly sell stuff on thsoe social networks. He if i am on a social network it's because I want to network and not click on another annoying advertisment. Advertising on these networks work pretty well if you don't focus on selling your products directly but rather on not selling. Make your ads look like they are part of the network and first send your ad traffic to your own social profile within the network and then presell your product there. you could give a lot more information anyway in your profile. ==> People that are on the network usually want to stay there. If your ad looks like "A new amazing "Facebook" or "MySpace" page. Want to know more? This way people are much mor elikely to click your "ads" on a network. Play with thier minds he... cheers K.K. |

facebook ads are effective but not as adwords in my opinion. Ads will be targeted but very low click rate.

We've experimented some with ads on facebook and myspace and got mixed results. It's all in how you target and craft the ads.

I'm kicking butt on fb with a particular niche. Here is the key. For the most part, people spend time there to focus on other people and their passions, not their problems and needs. I think what works are "fun" niches. If your focus is music, sports, hobbies, etc. you have a chance of doing well. |

Start off with CPC, then after you get a hang of it, then try CPM |
