I read their prerequisites and they are really demanding. I do have my own domain name (registered with YourPowerHost) and I do have a Wordpress but I don't know to go from there. I read instructions on how to get into CPAs... I even read about people here on WF that they got in really easily! I feel like I'm on a job interview, especially when they'll call me... (shudders) What if I mess up? (gulp) Help! |

Hi, First of all you should have some content on your website that is related to the cpa offer you want to promote at first. Any affiliate manager would like to see some related content and some traffic potential. I was once approved with one of the cpa networks with a blogger blog. Then it comes to the phone call, actually it is a bit like a job interview, though the only think the affiliate manager wants to hear is that you are real, you know what you are doing and you could send them some referrals. This way both you and the manager will make money. So, do not be afraid of messing up, just tell the manager that you will be getting traffic by ppc marketing, email advertising, forum marketing or something like this and they will see that you know about marketing. That's all, I hope it helps a bit. |

Believe me the phone call is not a nightmare, as I said the manager will make money whenever you make money and that's the reason he/she would like to let you in. The only thing is that you have to show them you want it. And what will you lose if you are rejected? There are dozens of networks and you could try again with the same network anytime you feel more comfortable. Just take the action mate, do not think about the consequence. I'm sure you'll be approved. |

I am totally agree with ademmeda - all you need is to have a website (or blog, at least) and take an action. Even if you are rejected that is is not the worst things in the world. I have a success rate of about 60% with them! Come on, mate, apply!

Yes it is, if you do your homework. I'm a total noob so YMMV. I used a general WP blog that had a public whois registration. I used my 800 number that redirected to my voicemal. Use email@yourdomain.com I explained that the website was my personal/business site, that I will build new blogs/landing pages for each offer, that I would do some SEO to get it rank and get organic traffic. In the traffic source section I said that that I will drive traffic using PPC, organic search and my own double optin email list. In regards to the phone interview, try to call them before they do, that way you'll be ready. In my case they just went over the same questions as in the application, just be yourself, friendly, upbeat and confident that you know what your doing. They will ask you about the offers you're promoting, why you want to join them, what other networks you promote, how much you making, etc. I was general in my answers, nothing too specific. So far I been approved to Adzoogle, XY7, Maxbounty, Copeac and Hydra, 5 out of 5 Hydra didn't even call me. Again YMMV, good luck. |

Exactly right! Do not dread a call...."embrace the call!" ![]() It's just like affiiate marketing! Treat everything like a business because it is! You are a business owner....act like one, talk like one. Now there are different levels of business owners but that's OK. As long as your sites are in your name and you know the lingo...and the type of questions that will be asked of you like how you intend to promote, what is your daily spend on advertising, what networks/types of offers you already promote, you should do fine. Remember they need us as much as we need them but even if they do get a newbie scrub as a new affiliate they would rather have the better prepared newbie than the newbie who can't even express how he will make them and him or herself money...that makes sense right?

Most people think the phone calls are like the scariest thing ever. It's no big deal. So long as you know what the hell you're on about you should be pretty much fine. Just like choose the sort of offers you want to promote for them beforehand and talk to them about how you plan to promote them.

You have to oversell yourself a bit to get accepted. Tell them you have a website with more than 50000 unique hits per month and that you drive PPC traffic with a big budget to your sites. Also tell them you have been doing CPA with success at other networks (name a few) and that you have 2 years experience. that should do it. follow it up by contacting them by phone or AIM. |

If you are going to lie about this, you will get rejected really fast. Any competent AM will ask you for more details, like how much is your big budget? What's the address of this website? What are the verticals that you promote? I mean they will catch you on lie, so why risk it, when it can be done the easy way? Again I'm a noob so YMMV.

To be honest - a lot of people overplay how hard it is to get in. It really isn't. All the AM is looking for is someone who isn't going to send them blackhat leads and is actually committed to making money. If you want my advice: fill in the application form, send it off, call up the network before they call you and be 100% honest. There are 100s of decent networks out there, so if one rejects you it isnt the end of the world and you always apply again. It's really not too bad, once you've made one call you will be fine |

Telling them you have an insane number of uniques and years of experience when you dont is how you get flagged, rejected, or banned. THey will then ask you some difficult follow up questions and know right away youre a joke. Just be honest. They dont care if you arent pulling huge traffic. Even if you are making 10 leads per month, as long as its legit, that is money in their pocket. dont lie..be honest |

I see Honestbizpro wrote "As long as your sites are in your name". Why should that be so important? I mean, maybe the owner is one person( who maybe is bad at english) and tha manager, the one who calls the network, is another one, who also speaks english very well? About "lying": not to forgetet there are "white" lies and I have noticed that most good course- and programmakers in the field recommend a certain ( but not too much) "beautifiyng" lying,no. |

Axel, Yes when you are trying to sell yourself it is very natural to hype yourself up a bit. Networks know this. By lying, I was referring to something more drastic like you get 1 million uniques per day, you have 400 sites generating x traffic, youve been doing affiliate marketing for 37 years, etc etc. So beautifying is different than lying. good luck! |

It's not hard, at least it was easy to me. Just don't exaggerate and join the smaller networks first. When you feel confident try the big ones (Nverblue, COPEAC, Clickbooth, etc)

It was not hard for me at all. Once I had my application all filled out, I gave them about a day and then I was on the phone calling them, which kind of sped things up. You need to know what your talking about when talking to the reps or at least sound like you know what your talking about. They basically want to know how you plan on driving traffic to their offers at least that was the case for me. Sean |

I've always been asked about my experience in CPA and I was honest about it. No experience in CPA at all...but I certainly do know what I'm talking about when I'm asked certain questions since my main business is web design and know a bit of IM.
