I've running a relatively successful offer on the CPA network Revenueloop using PPV/CPV (pay per view or cost per view) and tracking my cloaked URLS with Prsoper202. Now my affiliate manager wants me to uncloak my URLs because he says: Our QA team does not allow cloaked URLs. The reason they do not allow cloaked URLs is because all of our Super Affiliates whom do massive amounts of volume do not cloak their URLs. Since we pay our affiliates for the leads that come through we feel that we are entitled to view the sources of the traffic you are sending to us. We would love to help you further in converting even better with our offers but I am afraid we will be unable to do so with your links being cloaked Is that true in the CPA industry or not? |

If you're sending CPV traffic to an offer that is not CPV Qualified, then you're probably already busted. It sounds like they suspect you of something.

That's funny, never heard that one... so in other words, please uncloak your links so we can see where your traffic is coming from, we want to steal your keywords and cut you out of the picture. |

No, I asked my affiliate manager prior to utilizing traffic from MediaTraffic and he said that he would need to approve the creative but it's just a direct link to the offer landing page. But for an affiliate manager to ask you to uncloak your links, that's doesn't sound right to me. |

there is certainly no shortage of cpa networks out there.....and from my experience most basically feature the same if not very similar offers. i would look for another company to work with and switch asap. then email the guy and tell him not to worry, that you would rather pull the campaign than possibly open it up for others to profit from your hard work. my only concern is that they might withold payment....but it looks like that is where this might be headed anyway. |

just switch over to another network, revenueloop is not the only one in the world. If you are doing things right, and don't want anyone steal your hard work, them it;s time to move

Hey [firstname], I completely understand your concern. That makes sense. However, at this time I'm not comfortable with your request. I'm confident in the quality of my traffic but prefer to keep my traffic sources private. I hope you can understand. Unfortunately, you leave me no choice but to promote a similar offer somewhere else. All the best, yuvcram

Go to offervault and find another network that is carrying that offer and promote it through there. No sensible affiliate manager would ever dare ask an affiliate to reveal their sources, especially a "super affiliate" because they would just laugh in the affiliate manager's face.

Thanks so much for all the advice! I definitely thought it was phishy for even your affiliate manager to ask you to uncloak your URLs.

I tell my managers where I want to promote offers, but I don't let them see the referrer still... its too easy in this industry for you to get ****ed (excuse my french)

| They don't need you to uncloak to steal you campaign, it just makes it easier. There is no way to make you campaign safe from theft, only safer, not safe.

If that isn't good enough, promote the same offer from a different network. John

It's very sad that affiliates actually think this way. Where'd I put my tinfoil hat...? |
