Hello guys,

I am going to venture into CPA marketing soon. Just to make sure that the steps in my head is correct.

1) Join a CPA networks (For me, Maxbounty)
2) Choose an offer to promote
3) Register a domain from godaddy for the landing page.
4) Design out the landing page and convince people to choose the offer and continue.
5) Once user click on the "continue"button, they will be directed to the merchant's landing page.
6) Promote the designed landing page through adwords.
7) Choose keywords, budget, set up campaign and wait for traffic.
8) Login Maxbounty and check stats.

Are all my steps correct? Advice appreciated.

There is no "correct" or "incorrect" way to go about it. You seem to have a pretty good plan to get started, though.

Follow through with your plan, give it a shot, and see if it works.

If it does, keep on doing it.

If it doesn't, make some changes and try again.

The only way to find out for sure is to test it out yourself...

That's a very basic step by step of what you would have to do. You should really do some research and get some training before you start though. PPC isn't the only way to generate traffic either - you'll definitely want some sort of mentor at the very least. Adwords also isn't the only PPC engine - there's a ton of options out there.

Like others have said, you def have the idea on how cpa marketing works. Obviously it involves a lot more than those steps, but you are on a good start.

My biggest advice would be to never stop testing and tweaking. You will find little changes to your landing page make huge differences. Test different types of landing pages, colors, etc

Also, keywords are the heart of any campaign. Make sure you are tracking which keywords are converting and make sure you do research to find creative keywords.

Make mistakes and learn from them. Good luck buddy

The only thing I would do to improve on that would be to direct them to a blog or page with an opt in / subscription. Otherwise you are just letting people come and go.

I don't want to overwhelm you, but that is one way to do it. You don't have to use google adwords and you don't have to create a lander. (Ton's of other places to put ads, and you can direct link to the offer if it converts )

If you're not part of a CPA network, join ASAP as you cannot do anything until then. It sounds like you're part of MaxBounty.

I've found zip/email submits as a great way to get started as they have a lower initial budget requirement. Search around on these forums as I'm pretty sure a lot of people have already discussed ways to get started with these. I would also note that google content network is quite a bit easier to start off with than google search, but regardless, do what works for you. Just setup an advertisers account on google and get your application in for a CPA network if you haven't as these both can take some time to get going before you can do anything. Best of luck!

You have it down in very basic steps.

One change I would suggest - most PPC super affiliates I know these days say that landing pages alone don't work any more, as they won't get a good Adwords quality score, therefore your cost will be too high.

They say you need a landing SITE with a blog or other pages of content relevant to the niche, a contact us page and a privacy policy at the very least.

Then as others have said you REALLY need to learn a lot about PPC before starting as you can lose a lot of money if you don't know what you are doing.

PPC is not the only strategy to use. Not cost effective for me. I use Media Buying... you don't need a website or your own landing page. You can place any of the CPA banner ads on highly targeted websites specific to your CPA publishers offer. With the right Media Buying Campaign you can choose a websites that has high alexa and quantcast rating and with 10 million plus visitors per/mth. ex...I have CPA ads on hi5,AOL,Oxygen,Photobucket,USA Network and more.

The other cool thing about Media Buying is that you can Pay/Per Thousand views (CPM)on your CPA Ad. I pay as little as .10 cents per thousand views and the visitors are super targeted to specific demographics by Age-Gender-Income-Education-No of Kids in Household-Ethnicity -What they read-Watch on TV- and more.

So don't rule out other IM advertising mediums.
