What are the ways to promote email/zip submits?

Hi Everyone,

How do you promote email/zip submits?
I felt that it is easy to convert but the payout is low so in your opinion what is the most effective way to do this sort of cpa promotion?

Depends on the offer, but usually CPV is good for email/zips. But as always test things out, to see what converts best for you

From the type of pixels I see publishers placing in our system, it looks like a lot of the traffic comes from Adwords and Yahoo. However, I do see some really successful publishers (500+ submits per day) building out landing sites, not just pages. Usually they have many many pages all relating to a different state, and using geotargeted keywords. This technique has already been mentioned in several PPC courses which is why I posted it.

one of the pitfalls of new affiliates is jumping in feet first with zip/email submits and not understanding that they are not as easy to pull off as it seems. This is our biggest niche (10s of thousands of leads/day) and we have been doing it for over 5 years and it is still a challenge to make them work consistently. And we are dealing with the advertisers directly.

That being said TARGET is the main thing I can tell you.

ppcpimp is right, it's all about targeting and that's especially true when it comes to the demographics. Obviously advertisers wouldn't be able to pay affiliates $2+ per email if they weren't able to make money from those leads right away. They have multiple ways of monetizing the backend but most of the time that monetization requires that the person who entered the email/zip do something with their credit card or signup for something.

So here is the big secret to making money with email submits: Target older people. They are the ones who signup for the offers and the only ones who qualify to complete the good paying offers for the advertiser. Setup a email submit poll with "which Jonas brother do you like" and you're going to get scrubbed heavily within your first 100 leads. Setup something that caters to an older, more mature audience and you'll make a lot more money for a longer period of time because you won't be getting scrubbed left and right.

I have used polls and PPC very successfully to sell a lot of zip and email submits. I agree, target older people. I found a very cool niche in the political area where people really respond to zip and email offers. My best selling item is by far is gift cards from Target, Walmart, Costco and Best Buy.

polls is probably the most common way to promote email submits, just be careful if you are using Google to do it. Make sure you try other advertising mediums!

also be careful b/c polls produce awful leads for most zip/email submits. They will get scrubbed quicker than most methods.

Capture the email yourself with a squeeze page that YOU control and then hit the leads with other CPA offers (which can also be email or zip submits)...

always a great suggestion plus you can prob find a network that will let you prepopulate the original zip/email submit as well (for a reduce payout)

Yeah I have read some articles about grabbing email address for aweber and then presenting the offer in aweber thank you page with the email address they have filled up on Aweber page. I have read it here.

However the above articles only details for the email submit offers. He has provided information about how to grab the email of visitor and then add that visitor in your aweber mailing list and then on aweber subscription thank you page presenting the actual offer page with the email they have put on aweber page so that they don't have to put it again on that actual offer page. But If I have an local offer of some insurance, loans or mortgage rates I would be grabbing two fields from the page that is Email and Zip. But how to grab that zip and to display it in thank your page of aweber page which is your actual offer page.

There are many different strategies that you can use.

One of my favorite methods is using polls. You can create simple polls (using HTML or Wordpress) regarding something that's hot right now and then send people to an email submit after they vote as if it were a way to say thank you for participating.

If you match the offer with the topic of your poll properly it's possible to get a very good conversion rate.

About traffic generation, I'd go with PPC on search, but there are many different ways you can send traffic to poll pages, including free traffic sources.

I also recommend polls with PPC traffic. If you could find a suitable keyword and a related offer, it won't be difficult to get leads done.
