Default Denied EPN (ebay partner) membership why?

I wanted to put a selection of broken Xbox 360's from eBay on the site below. I was denied a membership is there an obvious problem with the site?

It is original content and is getting good traffic/making money.
I filled out the app in the recommended fashion.
I used a professional sounding email address from a domain.
I gave them my toll free number to call (they didn't).
I told them I have over 30 sites in various niches. (I do)

Xbox 360 Repair Center Fix Your Xbox 360 Under One Hour Easily!

Is the site just too 'crappy looking'? What am I doing wrong?

Thanks for any input.

EPN deny just about everyone that applies. Try contacting them and appealing their decision, a lot of the time they will reverse their decision if you appeal it.

I can tell you right off the bat why:

Any site that has ANY type of monetization WILL BE DENIED.

If you want an eBay partnership membership the first thing you have to do is build a site with pure content. No form of advertising or monetization at all. Get the site completely indexed. Then apply. After you're accepted go ahead and go crazy with monetization.

Making some direct contact always helps.

If they turn you down this time, keep contacting them.

Not obsessively, of course. But I'd be willing to be that if you do it every couple of weeks, you'll eventually land in there.

Wow really?

That bites, I did not see that anywhere in my research... I can whip up a foo foo 'I'm not making money no danger here' site for them if I have to.

I don't think you will find this in the "main stream" I had to dig for hours to find the solution and I finally came across it somewhere.

Do everything you said you did above with your other site for your "foo foo" site. However, just make sure the content is top quality. Not crap.

EBay is very fickle. I'm an eBay PowerSeller and they denied me for an EPN account. I actually bought a site from someone reputable that specialized in designing websites for the EPN. When I told her that the site had been denied, she told me that they approve and deny randomly without reason (don't worry, I was able to get a refund on the site since I couldn't use it). This is coming from someone who sells sites like this on a daily basis. When I tried to appeal to eBay, they sent me an e-mail stating that they were sorry, but for their own reasons they could not approve my account. How much more vague and nonsensical can they get?

Wow I guess, I have an account that is 6 or 7 years old with over 700 transactions and 100% positive as well. I thought that would help for sure.

That is ridiculous...

I'll try again with a new site but if that does not work...

F em then I'll sell with DataFeedr if they won't let me in.

Oh hey would you mind shooting me a PM or posting up where you got that site? It's not promoting if I'm asking. If you could link me to one to check out that would be really cool.

They've gotten very picky about it, I'm not sure why. They've been kicking out more people than they've been letting into the program recently. I guess they're overreacting to how easy it was back in the CJ days and the early EPN days.

People I've seen approved recently have had to be very persistent about it. There doesn't seem to be any 'magic formula' like no ads or having a good regular eBay account. Most people I know have gotten rejected around 5 times before they finally got accepted.

As a general answer to that question, I bought the site from someone on eBay. Unfortunately, I don't have that particular seller saved on eBay anymore. That was almost a year ago so I couldn't even begin to remember the seller's eBay ID. Sorry.

Good luck getting them to approve your other site. If they do, let me know and I might try again. I hear that people who do get on with EPN usually make some good extra money from it.

Do you use your eBay Powerseller account to apply?

Maybe they have some records on your powerseller account which is detrimental to you.

Try to apply using a different account.

I use a totally different account to apply for the account after they deny my application using my powerseller account. I was successful on the second try.

It might be your niche though. According to some facts I have gathered, they lately only approve niches with low "activity"/competition.

Why would they do that?

I read that they are trying to expand into new niches and they limit the positions to the already "famous" ones. Could be wrong, but I am just telling you what I have experienced and heard

Can someone PM me where to send the appeal email?

I make a ton of money online, so much I have to keep reminding people. Really I Do.

This is very true, at first EPN let almost everyone in, now there is a huge focus on quality content sites.

That makes little sense but it's eBay so I believe it.

I've got a couple ideas for a fresh niche.
