I just signed up with media traffic and I decided to first try the dating niche just to get my feet wet. I am targeting a URL that I would believe to get traffic, but I have yet to receive any impressions at all. I have no idea why, maybe media traffic just has hardly any traffic? I would imagine I'd get a lot of impressions with the URL I am targeting.

I wasn't very impressed with media traffic when I tried a health related campaign. But, I don't have much experience with PPV. I decided to keep using my regular traffic sources.

I've had no luck with PPC other than facebook (which I do quite well on) so I am trying to get into PPV. It can't be any harder than google content/search or yahoo which I failed at miserably for 3 months.

Oscar...PLEASE stay away from PPC. It's terrible for CPA offers. You are paying way too much to be profitable with a free email/zip submit. CPA's (especially dating) are extremely easy to market and convert. Just think outside the box. Use simple methods to get in front of people actively looking for what you are offering.

Another thing is your targets. Don't limit yourself to just one target url. Just like ppc you have to try several to see what converts best. You can't always trust your gut with ppv.

Hi Oscar
does the url you are targetting get much traffic to it in the first place, i.e. what does alexa and quantcast report on this. How many visitors does it get a month, you can check those figures at the above sites to make sure it is a really high traffic site. Have you asked your media traffic account manager whether or not the type of dating site you are promoting works well the media traffic users? Ask them what dating sites work well, as in 'mature dating' 'black singles' 'christian dating' etc. They should be able to help you out here. HTH |
