Default About to start my first cpa campaign? :)

It has taken me some time but I am finally ready to start my first cpa campaign.

I have decided to create a simple one page website explaining the benefits of the product (it is a free offer) etc. Today is going to be the 1st day of promotion and I am very exicited.

Any words of advice? e.g for example what mistakes did you make when you first started and how did you overcome them.

I have a keyword rich domain and will try and rank high in the search engines.

Also will test a few adwords campaigns to see which one's covert the most.

Plus I will try and find forums in the relevant niche

You'll want to add more than one page to your site than if you want to rank highly.

Doesn't have to be hundreds - but at least around 10.

A few things the big G, imo, likes to see also besides article pages are:

1) contact page
2) disclosure policy DisclosurePolicy.org: Disclosure Policy, Disclosure Policy Generator
3) about us

Good luck!

Just made this thread in the SEO part of the forum about avoiding the Google dance - depending on how competitive your keyword is this could help.

How To Avoid The Google Dance.

Yes you will likely need to build a site as single landing pages are nearly impossible on a lot of the search engines.

And yes, you will make mistakes, but it seems like you are mostly doing organic traffic? so at least you arent pumping a lot of money into ppc at first.

And dont forget free methods of traffic. As you learn the ropes of paid traffic, it cant hurt to try some free methods to make a little investment money on the side.

Best of luck, I smell a conversion coming soon!

Yeah, I agree that you need multiple pages and that PPC can work if you start small and test everything.

Headlines are very important to test as that is the determining factor for people to decide if they are interested in reading more on your page.

Good luck,
Kevin

An easy way to check your demographics is on quantcast.com
This is a very useful tool.

Yes, EVERYTHING is important to test. The difference between a thousand per day campaign and an unprofitable campaign can be a bunch of little tiny things that you wouldnt think could make a difference.

The traffic available on the internet is soo massive that if you can get a campaign from break even to a slight profit, then there can be soo much volume that you can do really well. Thats why its improtant to test those little tiny things.
