Default Content Network Or Search??

Well, I've read that I should only be using the content network for CPA offers, which at first really went against my teachings from promoting clickbank products......

However, If I'm only supposed to use the content network and not the search network on Adwords, then how do I tell which keywords are good and which are bad? The content network doesn't have any keyword specific stats on impressions, clicks, CTR, or even individual cost.

Maybe I'm just missing something technical to show the content network stats......

Any help is greatly appreciated!

I have learned to place one keyword per ad group on both search and content. Then have the conversion tracking code placed by your affiliate manager and you will be able to see which keywords are working on both the search and content networks.

I use Neverblue and you can place the conversion tracking code yourself right into the offer, so it shows all your stats.

I like the content network better because I get more impressions and less costs.

Hope that helps.

I can save you both a lot of time.

Content is not about keywords, it's about adgroups. There is no way to see which keyword got the visitor to the site that your ad is showing up on. Only the publisher knows that.

You can't build content campaigns like search, they're two diff ball games. The thing you need to focus on in content is "Themes" You entire campaign needs to be about a theme. Check out the book "Adwords 180" it's really basic info on the content network, but it will definitely help t get you started
