Hi all, I consider myself a relatively web-savvy person. I've been working in fields like SEO and content for a few years now but I haven't dealt much with CPA or affiliates. I'm interested in getting involved in this kind of industry and would really appreciate some advice on where I get started. I've done quite a lot of research on CPA and related marketing over the past few months and am feeling pretty confident in my general knowledge however I'd like to get some tips and advice from you guys - the pros. Simple tips on where to get started, what sites to use, where to begin, etc.... Thanks guys! |

I like to pick an offer and use PPC to drive traffic. The trick is (if you don't want to get bitch slapped by google) is to build a website and not just a landing page with a low QS. Of course within your website you will have your landing page buried somewhere in the midst. Make sure that you LP is linked to all the other pages on your site. Link to these pages at the very bottom of your LP using very small fonts. You don't want your visitors to be distracted from your CPA offer. You will also need some keyword density on your LP to get a decent quality score. This can be achieved by using DKI (dynamic keyword insertion). There is a thread on this forum somewhere all about DKI. You can also google it and find some good info.

Take it one step at a time. The obvious first step is to start applying to CPA companies and get accepted to them. Tjhat is step #1, you shouldn't focus on anything else other than that. Once that is done, you focuse on ONE CPA tactic at a time and only one. There are so many tactics, but you need to only have success with one. Once you start making money with that, you can either scale that tactic up, or move on to another tactic and make money with that one. You will surely be a success if you do this. |

Start by signing up with the popular CPA networks and asking your AMs for advise. Nobody else is going to give it to you straight, why would they?

Yes, just get to work. This business isnt rocket science and there is no magic bullet. The way to get ahead is to take action, keep testing, and figure out what works and what doesnt for yourself. As long as you approach it right and have the effort, things will work out. You seem to be pretty versed in cpa, so just take the plunge and start with less risky (less costly) methods or just set limits if you do do paid advertising. kenster |

I have a few websites and run Adsense ads on them and figured out they are a waste and won't earn me a living so want to go for CPA ads and I am quite willing to build new blogs specific for these CPAs and traffic could be bought through PPC or other methods suggested by some warriors. Now my situation is a bit clearer, the question remains what network?

Get approved with Neverblue, AzoogleAds, and HydraNetwork. Those are the top 3 IMHO.

My suggestion would be to use a hosted Wordpress blog and promote it using all the free methods first. Don't go anywhere near PPC until after you've started making a little money. MaxBounty is a good network to start with, as it's not only easy to get in but also pays thru Paypal...and they pay on time. My experience with them has been very good. |

With that said tho make sure you get and AM that knows WTF they're talking about. There's a lot of sales guy out their that are just going to push offers on you cause it makes them the most money. The good AM's should be able to advise you with all facets of your campaign at least some what.

Again smaxor good point. Sometimes I'm amazed how little some of my AMs know. Its not like Ive been doing this for years, and I need to explain how things work to some of them. At the same time, most my AMs at the established networks are extremely helpful and know their stuff. Many of them go out of their way to help you even if you are new...they are good people and to a great degree, its in their best interest to help you out. |

I started with direct linking with Yahoo and FB, I tried article marketing but found it a waste of time, and jumped in PPC, with a small budget though I found it was easier to get conversions on cheaper offers, always good for the ego. |
