I'm hearing lots of people moving away from the email/zip submits due to the high level of scrubbing and more towards the Ringtones/IQ Test/Crush/Free Wii+iPhone offers... But looking at these offers: 1) Visitor lands on page plays the game / quiz 2) Visitor is prompted to enter their cell phone number 3) Visitor received text message to sell that basically says that by entering the PIN code they agree to get charged $2 per message 3x a week (!!?!?!) 4) Visitor enters the PIN code into the website page to confirm subscription (at which point a sale is converted) I find it hard that such a process would convert very well? Not to mention the whole $2 per text message thing! If I received that message (after thinking I would be entered into a regular prize drawing) I would run for the hills! Do people actually find success with these offers? Seems like the "warning" text message would be a big conversion killer as opposed to the Acai / Teeth Whitening offers that have the warning text 8,000 pages down from the submission form? Thoughts? |
