Hi all,
I just learned how to make a landing page. First off, I would like to ask you guys: do I make the landing page about the offer that I will be doing? And second: after I make a landing page, what do I do from there? Thanks all. |

Question 1 )
Obviously. Why would make a landing page about some other offer? Question 2) After making a landing page, be ready to change it. After trying out some campaigns with Adwords, Adbrite, Bidvertiser etc, you will realize that your landing page sucks. It takes time and testing. I suggest you hire a few testees instead of wasting too much money on campaigns. |

Hi Alex...I totally get your questions. I often create landing pages that have nothing to do with the product I will be selling. Sound crazy? Basically all I do is come up with a great giveaway offer that will be sure to bring in the type of prospect I think will also be interested in purchasing my product or service. Then I go out on the social networks and try to give out the product to as many people as I can. Which ends up making me look like a good guy and subsequently ends up building me a really great opt-in list. Then I just use follow up messages on my Autoresponder to win them over to buying whatever it is I'm selling.

You can make your landing page anything you want. Actually, writing a 'real' review about the product you want to offer is a great way to start.
It let's your visitors know you've done your homework and Google will like it because it provides real value, not just another 'give me your information now!' page. Be sure to include some bullet points and even some testimonials if you have them. Next you want to sign up with 1 autoresponder service: GetResponse, Aweber, IContact, etc. - create an e-mail message campaign of between 7 -10 follow-up messages and make sure the content contained is not 'pitchy' - just be honest with your list and start gaining their respect. Don't try to sell them your product right away - maybe offer a free report or ebook that will peak their interest - to get them to opt-in to your lead capture page. This is just the tip of the iceberg but it should get you going.

Not really Alex. You can begin building your list way before you decide on which product to sell. As long as you keep constant contact with your list you'll be setting yourself up to make some pretty good conversions when you do finally promote a product.

So let's say for example I make an add or webpage about weight loss and post it up on my brothers website,
if people actually click on it and fill out the information to get the free sample, do I have to give them the product they signed up for? Or redirect them to a different page? Sorry I'm kind of confused |

Well you have to give them whatever it is you advertised. That goes without saying. I suppose if you found a resource you could advertise that was on another persons website you could advertise it on your brothers site and then use your landing page as an intermediary page. Then when a prospect opts in to your list you could redirect them to that other website. But if you were doing that you should just go out and find a good affiliate product to pitch in which you can redirect folks to.

If I don't have the product, can I talk with the company who does the offer and if they let, put up an ad about it on my brothers site?
If so, will it bring some income?? |

Then once your brothers site is approved you may attach links to these offers as supplied by the network to you brothers site, then yes if people select that link and fill out the short form order you will earn some money. sounds easy ? mate take your time and walk through things and you will be OK, wish you luck.

You just answered your own question above. Obviously, if the company allows you to advertise their offer, you can put it on your brothers site. Unless, of course, your brothers site is an Adult website. In which case many companies will NOT allow you to advertise their products on it. What you need to do is go to someplace like Clickbank.com and/or PayDotCom.com and find a product through the marketplace that you feel comfortable promoting as an Affiliate. Depending on the product you decide to promote, you may need to read their terms of service to find out how and where you are allowed to advertise for them. In most cases, as long as you aren't spamming and/or placing your Ads on Adult websites, so-called "safe lists" and FFA (free for all) networks; they want you to advertise everywhere you can afford to. Some product owners even give you detailed instructions of how and where it's acceptable to advertise. It just depends on what product(s) you decide to offer. If you aren't sure, simply email the product owner and ASK them for guidance. Many will try to help you because after all if you make sales for them, they earn money too. No one can guarantee you will be able to bring in some income with any of your offers. There are simply too many variables to take into account. If your offer sucks, no one will buy it. If your Ads are lame, no one will click on them. If you advertise on totally unrelated websites, you are extremely unlikely to make any sales. And the list goes on and on and on. If your main plan is to advertise on your brothers website then you need to find a product that compliments the content on his site. For example, lets say his site is about Dogs. Then you wouldn't advertise a product about Gardening on his site. Instead, you would find a product/eBook about Dogs. This way your ads are targeted. Hope this helps. if you are with G and you get a poor qs for land page you know its not right, don't continue with the ppc campaign but pause or delete it and add to your content or to what is needed to fix it. if your not going through G then it should be fine.
