going from page 11 to page 1?

I just noticed my site just got indexed and is currently hanging at the bottom of page 11 for the main keyword. What is the next step I can take to push this up the charts?

Continue to add quality unique content and start building backlinks. Get a diverse range of backlinks through bookmarking, some article submission, profile links, free web 2.0 blogs, etc.. The higher the page rank and the more diverse you make your backlinking the better! Don't just pick one. I don't know what type of backlinking experience you have. If none, then learn one area before moving on to the next, but make sure links aren't coming from just one source. Hope this helps!

Yes, keep adding backlinks. Use free website makers, use sites like blogger and other social networking sites and web 2.0 sites to add some of your spinned content. Then, go to blogs in your niche and leave your link there while adding a real response that isn't just obvious spam to get a link. Also see if you can get some .edu links somehow, they can be gold, even just a few.

Article marketing is my advice. By article marketing I mean that you should use tools like articleranks, isnare, uniquearticlewizard, freetrafficsystem etc to get your articles published on dozens of sites to provide you backlinks.Ofcourse, spending some time to spin the articles can prove to be all the more beneficial.

Backlinks is the way to go.I just launched a site last week,it got indexed and debuted at number 4 without any backlinks. I will build some backlinks this week and hopefully get it to number 1 or 2.

A couple backlinks here and there and you will see a quick jump. From page 11 I would say you can jump up to page 3 quick but then it starts the fight for the top. Really becomes a rat race lol.
