Default Google Affiliate Network

I am new to internet marketing. I have a few websites, one of these is about 3 years old. I get traffic from search engines and planning to buy some more traffic through PPC once I start promoting products.

I want to know what affiliate network should I join in order to start this: I have gone through Google Affiliate Network and CJ, also AZN. And don't know which one is right for me.

Please suggest me which one should I adopt in the beginning?

I'd join a few to have some choices. I also like Neverblue.

Hi Web Warrior,

Since the title of your thread is Google Affiliate Network, I wanted to let you know
they are a client of mine, so let me know if I can ever help.

As far as networks go though, there are 3 different types and they've all been randomly mentioned in this thread.

The BEST network for you, depends in part on your niche.
So if you haven't yet you should do niche research and pick a niche.

The 3 different types of affiliate networks and their *differences are:

Affiliate Networks - like Google Affiliate Network, CJ and Shareasale
*Mainly physical products or legit lead gen offers like insurance quotes.
Many big name merchants like Macys and Walmart.

CPA Networks - (totally different than the above in a number of ways).
Includes networks like Azoogle, Neverblue (mentioned above)
*Not usually any retail products. They promote "offers" not products or merchants.

Info Product Networks - like Clickbank and PayDotCom.
* No physical products. Only ebooks and software.

Hope this helps and best of luck!

I have just found an awesome affiliate network called affiliatebot. Their publishers have amazing offers and there are lead and sale type programs. There's a link in my signiture.

I'll be honest, the thing I don't like about clickbank is their policy against newbies. They make it seem like you can get a check after just $10 of sales, but if you read closely, you have to have at least 5 sales and at least 2 of those should be from different credit cards (seems like they want to make sure you're not the one buying the products). Needless to say, they still owe me about $54 from 2 sales, and now because I haven't been actively promoting their products, they're deducting $1 from what they own me every 15 days!!

So my review of Clickbank is, don't go there unless you're in for a big commitment. Stick with a CPA network that doesn't hide weird terms around their payments deep in the fine print. Ironically, I had read that fine print, and thought I only needed 2 sales from 2 diff cards! You can't skim! GRRRRR

I hope that people realize that with the Google Affiliate Network, you have to have a valid adsense account. If your adsense account is disabled for whatever reason in future, you will be automatically kicked out of the Google Affiliate Network. This is what happened to me and a lot of others on Nov 1st this year.

Do not get between a wombat and a chocolate biscuit; you will regret it dearly!
