Hello Fellow Warriors, I'm a newbie affiliate but have been involved with internet marketing for a while. I'm told that I must submit articles to article directories to populate the search engines with back links but i'm a little confused about which route to take.. Should I just pick the top 5 article directories and manually submit them or should I go for automatic or semi auto submission. Can I just add the "cloaked affiliate offer" at the bottom of the article because I thought the article directories just wanted content... I would be interested to learn from your experienced as I would hate to be accused of being a spammer...... Notice the name donkey 69..... Thanks folks..... |

Hi It depends on how much time you have and if you can buy resources to automate the delivery of your articles to various article directories. As for the affiliate links, you need to read the TOS of each article directory to ensure you don't breach any of their terms. Here's a brief extract which I quote from the "Editorial Guidelines" of EzineArticles.com... "Affiliate links will be allowed if the link is a domain name you own which forward/redirects to the affiliate link from the top-level of the domain name. For example, it is permissible to forward to an affiliate link from: http://your-company-name.com/ ...but it would not be permissible to forward to an affiliate link from: http://your-company-name.com/page.html http://your-company-name.com/subdirectory/ http://your-company-name.com/subdirectory/page.html http://sub-domain.your-company-name.com/ " Stick to the rules and you won't get your articles rejected. Thanks James, That's very helpful so I need to do some research into which article sites will allow direct affiliate links and which will allow my domain + affiliate link.... Up & on...

If you are in some doubt about what EzineArticle.com means by its rules, just look at a number of articles on their directory and scroll down to each author's signature bar and then click on their link to see where it takes you. You'll find that it takes them to a page on their own site from which they direct visitors to the vendor site. If in doubt, always ask. Email the directory support desk and tell them to give you more precise examples. I've found them very helpful. | |

Goarticles allows you to put a link right under the title. I have it link to my landing page for an offer then I put a couple links in the signature section.
