Noob Question: What is PIXEL for?

Okay I have been looking for CPA offers and I've been seeing this "Pixel Upload" on each offer.

What is it for and when do I use it?

I really dont understand the Pixels either. I understand that it's for tracking, but tracking what? What do you need a pixel for if your using lets say Tracking 202? Would you even need one then?

I am in the same boat. I have everything ready to roll out my first CPA campaign with a sweet landing page, but I cannot figure out how the tracking works.

I asked my affiliate manager to insert my google or tracking id on the vendor's thank you page, but she said I can just use the pixel feature to track it.

I want to track a email submit campaign with a landing page via the google content network, but I haven't figured out how to do it.

It seems like tracking202 is more for the search network.

Are there any detailed tracking videos or even products that explain cpa tracking in detail?

Having the same situation here. I made a .php file and posted it, but I think somewhere in the file I need to put a field to accept data from the network. I also installed adwords conversion on there but it doesn't seem to be working.

Any ideas on how the process of posting a call back to your URL works?
