Default Media Traffic Frustrations....

I'm making my first venture into PPV with my new account at Media Traffic. I'm using their spreadsheet to load up a spreadsheet that I exported out of Affiliate Prophet. However, it's getting rejected because the first field has to be 30 characters or less. Now, I have like 2000 targets to go through. Anyone know of a simple macro script that can go through this quickly?

Also, keeping the targets organized can be a bit of a hassle. I think that finding a target to delete once I decide that it's a dead deal is going to be like finding a needle in a haystack. Any ideas for staying organized with Media Traffic would be appreciated.

You need to be tracking, obviously. You are going to be tracking with something like prosper202 yes?

Ya, that 30 character limit can be annoying but I do not know any automatic way to stop that, sorry.

Track, track, track!

Make a custom macro or pay someone to make one for you. IMacros Firefox extension is free too.

Looks like I solved it myself. My rep at Media Traffic just sent over a macro I can use.

Cool!

Make sure to utilize the different types of matching options Media Traffic has. You can get some cheaper traffic and higher placements that way.

What matching options are you referring to? I'm still pretty new with their system.

Ok check out this screenshot I just took:

If you hover over the "i" right next to the target specifications it will give you some information on what each match type does. Hope that helps. Let me know if you have other questions.

Go over to URL Scraper, PPV Tools, CPV Tools & PPC ToolsPPV Tools, PPC Tools & Affiliate Marketing Tools and get a 3 day free trial. Take your urls and drop them into their url shrinker tool. You'll also find a lot of cool tools inside of there and the owner Corey is really cool.

Hmm.. Interesting.. But I found a way to use AffPortal for FREE (almost free, I mean ). If you're new to cpv/ppv and wanted to use AffPOrtal alongside, you're going to like it for sure

I spent $1,500 at MediaTraffic on what were supposed to be high converting CPA lead offers, and made no profit. I was tracking and culling bad targets. It seemed that Media Traffic were charging me but not giving me real visitors. Maybe I was mainly paying for bot clicks!!!???

Anyone making a decent ROI and profit level using Media Traffic?

I also found they lost about 20-30% traffic from their reports to my tracking script and the CPA networks tracking script. But all they did was blame my tracking script which was not true.

Tightly focussed keywords & urls (mainly urls), selected US only for US CPA offers (email/zip submits or short forms), complete urls (as they were tightly targetted for a small groupd of selected keywords - only harvested about first 3 pages of results from Google, Yahoo & MSN, selected popunder traffic. Sent direct to merchant's LP in 90% of cases. Sometimes used a display creative if the LP didnt get the message across clearly.

Need to know anything else?

Agent007,
I buy from MT every day and do pretty well... I don't see any fatal flaws in your target selection logic, but one thing did stand out. Why don't you try pop-overs instead of pop-unders? I have found that they convert much better, particularly for the low barrier conversion offer, like an email/zip submit. Also, if you haven't already, toy with the different pop-types (by clicking the "Modify" button near your listing. There are two settings. One is, "Creative", and one is "Landing Page" (or something)... Anyway, I have split tested these as well and found that "Creative" seems to work better.

I hope this helps.
