OK, maybe I will relate to the rock band Journey in that I will say: "Don't Stop Believin!" This is corny, I know, but so true. I have been really inspired by other people on this forum that have also taken on a challenge and met it. This is awesome. And I have seen some amazing support and advice as well. I especially like the advice of sticking to one method, and one method only for atleast 3 weeks. I think the biggest reason for frustration is overwhelm and inactivity...and too much reading. It is in MY case anyway, but not anymore! Like I said, I have been inspired by fellow warriors here, to go after my goal of $100 a day by January 4th, and also like the others, I will keep everybody who decides to follow along or provide some much appreciated advice, up to date with everything I do. My journey is an open book because I have learned from others and been inspired, so I think maybe I can help somebody else too! There are a lot of us out there who are stuck right now, but sometimes all it takes is a helping hand. I am sure I will make a lot of mistakes but thats how you learn and get better. So here we go! My experience level is a beginner. I do know what CPA is and I belong to a few networks. I am able to get started right away without having to learn from scratch. I would say my level is maybe a 3...on a 1-10 scale. Basically what I mean is I know the method I want to use (CPA), and I know the terminology, but I have not put anything into action yet. My first thought was to write some articles and get them posted. Let them do their thing while I move on to other advertising methods. I have about $100 in Google Adwords (after a credit). I set up one campaign to see how it works but have made nothing from it. Still sort of confused with Google Adwords. At times there seems to be SO MUCH to know and test. Anyway, thanks again to those who went before me, and to those who may help me out now. I WILL get there its only a matter of time (1month I hope). |

Great attitude buddy and I think I know which thread inspired you to challenge yourself at 100% for 3 weeks All serious though, you can do it. Sounds corny but there are 13 year old making hundreds per day, its not rocket science just takes a some good ol elbow grease. Good luck and keep us all posted on your progress. and inspire others kenster |

Thanks for the words of encouragement. Like I said, I was going to start with some article marketing, and I have. I've submitted an article to ezinearticles today. This is the first time I have done this so I am expecting quite a wait for it to be approved. I've linked the article to a domain of my own (landing page) and then that links to the offer which is a 4 field and then email confirm offer paying $1.50. This feels like such a small drop in the bucket, but its a start I guess. Obviously I need a lot more articles, but I have a few questions. Should I keep submitting articles to ezinearticles even while waiting for the first one to get approved? Is there a limit on how many I should submit in a day? While I am waiting for the articles to get approved, what is the best use of my time now? So overwhelming but exciting as well. Thanks for the help. |

It may be overwhelming but the best part about this industry is that it is exciting. I have been doing it for a while now and it is still great. Every new traffic source I discover or way to convert visitors or method that works is soo freaking exciting man. Wait til you get your first paycheck...that feeling is great, even if it is for $50! keep plugging away man |

Not knocking you, man, and it's great you have these goals. Goals are the first thing you need to have to get going. For real. However, let me say, how many of these threads can we take, ha ha. I wonder if a crackdown is coming soon... You're good to listen to Kenster, although forums always change and people come and go, he's the most helpful guy in the CPA forum at the moment... |

Good luck, I will be following along to see how you are making out. Since I am probably about a 0.25 to 0.50 on the skill level (1 to 10) I really should just keep reading. All the best.

I know these kinds of posts are wearing thin. It wasnt meant to be a "oh poor me, please help me post" but I understand what you're saying. I think this forum is probably one of the best resources online for anybody looking to seriously make some money online, and I figured that since I have gotten so much inspiration from other threads (not just similar ones to this), that maybe I could do something that would help out here as well. You are also right on Kenster. Such a big help to so many people here. The kind of guy that makes you want to keep going and actually believe it is possible. Anyway, redicelander, stay in touch, maybe along the way I can help you out. I have no idea what your experience is but if I can....I would love to help anybody here because we all know how hard this can be, but also how rewarding it can be! UPDATE: Just checked my Maxbounty account since I sent out another email today to my small list. I made about $23. This is all on $1 - $1.50 CPA offers. Not a lot, but it really is motivating to refresh the page and see some money start to come in. Just a matter of multiplying this now! I have an aricle submitted to ezine and am going to submit some more tomorrow. Also have some money in Adwords, but not exactly sure what to do there. Oh well, back at it tomorrow! |

I am also in the same situation. Started yesterday, got a maxbounty account and a ymultimedia account. Are you doing strictly article marketing? I have an article submitted as well however not too sure how my landing page should look like! |

Redicelander and Halmac, thanks for the veyr kind words. Without the constant motivation by a few warriors when I was struggling I probably would have given up before I turned profit. Just wan to give back a at least a little. Halmac, it would be very useful in the thread if you outline what you are doing, wht is working and what obstacles you have faced and then how you plan to overcome. I newbies following the thread are looking less to know how well you did (no offense) and more on your process and what to look out for. |

Agreed with Kenster, if you could show more of the process to get to those results that would be great!

Ok, this is what I have done so far. Right now I am only dealing with Maxbounty as it was the first network I signed up with and I dont want to get ahead of myself with too many networks just yet. TIP: I realized that you must answer the phone when they call you after you sign up, or if you miss the call...PHONE THEM BACK! I realize this sounds simple but I think if you just show some enthusiasm and sound like you know what you're talking about, you will have no problem being accepted. I have heard this advice many times and it is true. Also have a website that you can put in your application. I had a domain name already and I set up a wordpress blog with simple information on it about affiliate marketing, surveys, making money online etc. Most of the content is taken from other sites (with permission). Articles and such. Atleast it shows that you have a "home base". I'm not sure how well received a free blog without your own domain would be, I have not tried that. Anybody have any experience with this? Ok, so I guess in a way I am starting out with a bit of a head start because I have a list that has been compiled from a totally different business, but I thought I would try out some CPA offers to this list. I just wanted to see how the process worked as far as putting links in an email directed to an offer I chose. I chose a few "Surveys" offers and sent an email to my list with the links. I was totally shocked when the next day (after I actually forgot about it) I logged in to Maxbounty and saw about $22 in my account. That showed me that "Hey, people actually clicked the links, and I actually got credit for it" I also deposited $100 into Google adwords to try that out. At first I set up an ad and some keywords for an affiliate program with the webhost I deal with. Again, I didnt care if I made any commissions, I just wanted to see how everything worked...ads, keywords, clicks ets. Well, I got some clicks but no sales. I know my ads, keyword choices sucked but it was just an experiment. I am still confused with keyword research and how to set up ad groups. I guess what also confuses me is: Do I have to have my own domain name and full site for every single CPA offer I choose to promote? I did try to direct link to a CPA offer through adwords and the ad didnt even get approved. Or can I have a domain with nothing but a one page "landing page" that directs people to an offer? I am realizing that this post is all over the place, but so is my brain so bear with me. (there's a bear with me?) sorry, I watch too much Little Britain. Anyway, so what I gather from PPC to CPA offers is...the best way is to have a domain name and some content on it that relates to the offer you are promoting. Then you build a landing page on that site, which is where you will direct people from your adwords ad. Then your properly built landing page gets the person to click on through to your actual CPA offer. So you need to:
SUMMARY: So far I have seen results with sending some CPA offer links in emails to an already established list that I have. Its not a big list but I used it just to see how this works. Emailing my list cant go on forever so I need to figure out PPC so I can expand and promote other offers. I have also written one article related to a CPA offer and I submitted it to Ezinearticles. I opened a brand new account (free) so this was my first submission at about 6 pm EST yesterday. I will post once I find out if its approved or not and see how long it takes. I know this takes a bit of time but again, I did this to test out the process of submitting an article to EA and see how it works. And 1 article isnt going to do much, but I am waiting to see what happens with my first one before I submit any more. Is this the right way to approach this or should I be submitting more right now? I will also submit an article today to goarticles and see what happens there. I remember hearing somewhere that a good strategy is to write 10 articles and submit them to 10 different networks and let them do their thing. Then move on to other forms of marketing your offer. Does this sound effective or stupid? So as of right now, I have a few emails sent to my list, 1 article waiting approval and an extremely limited knowledge of PPC which is holding me back from setting up a campaign and running it. The action I am going to take now is to write some more articles, but I don't want to run the PPC ads until I know the best way to do that...see questions above. SUGGESTION: I just found an amazing website that has video presentations on all sorts of different things related to affiliate marketing. Its called "Marketing Experiments". Just google it, its very helpful. Sorry for the scatterbrain post, but if anybody can answer some of my questions, that would be a big relief. I will update as soon as I do anything else or learn anything else. Thanks guys! |

eclouds. Check out marketing experiments website. They have a presentation on what makes an effective landing page. Not exactly sure where it is in the site, should be easy to find though. Interesting stuff in there! They are basically doing the testing for us. Great site.

Ok guys here's an update for today. I just got an email saying that my article that I submitted to ezinearticles on Monday the 7th, has been accepted and will be published within 48 hours. WOO HOO! I have no idea if this is fast or slow as far as being accepted, but now I will start to submit more articles every day to EA. I also submitted 1 article to goarticles today. I am not exactly sure of their policy as far as when it will be accepted or published. This is good news, but I also want to get some other form of marketing going. I have not done anything today with PPC, although I did get an email from Gauher Chaudhry saying that google has slapped a bunch of adwords accounts and not really given an explanation as to why. Apparantly running campaigns for email submits and such isnt looked on too favourably by the G, I am not familiar with any of this as I have not yet done the PPC thing. Anybody have anything to add to this? Just so I know I am not writing to myself here, is anybody actually following along? lol, just curious! |
