My suggestion? Ask the networks yourself. They should be more than happy to help.

But as a general rule CPV networks will have all kinds of users, if they're good. However, keep in mind that CPV networks often get their users by letting them download free games so it's often going to be a younger audience who likes to play games, watch movies, etc.

You need to find out what types of software those companies use to serve their ads.

For example on Traffic Vance serves ads to people who downloaded their Game Vance software.

Media Traffic - Vomba screen savers
Adon - It's some type of shopping thing I can't remember the name right now

Now just think about what types of people would be playing games or installing screensavers

If I read between the lines I think your saying that a lot of these PPV and CPM networks advertise to a younger crowd, and most of them are interested in games? Do you know what kind of traffic "Direct CPV" would use? Honestly, what is the best way to advertise CPA offers like zip and email submits just starting out?

Yeah, you can try asking your ad rep...but in most cases, it's across the board. Atleast that's what they usually say.

TrafficVance is probably the only one with the highest level of demographics, but even with that...their own promotions are targeted for all kinds of users and demographics. Who doesn't like to play games?

Not necessary younger. People of all ages play games and install screensavers. Just because someone is interested in games doesn't mean they aren't interested in say car insurance or something. I would stay away from Zip/Email submits for PPV traffic...they can be a real pain to deal with.

Direct CPV gets it's traffic from their Loudmo products LoudMos Pay Per Install Affiliate Program Product List

Media Traffic = vomba shots and vomba screen savers

Traffic Vance = gamevance.com (gaming audience)

Addon = My Geek Shopping Toolbar (something like this) You know that they are going to be willing to spend money online as they are interested in shopping, so this network is always a good choice. low minimum as well.

i asked my rep in media traffic and he told me that media traffic has higher demographic for people around 18-35, so it makes me think like i should work on the offer which has high demographic within the same range. But i do hear from some people saying that it is all about the demographic of the target i am targeting, so even the network has more people within 18-35, i can still target order which target older people. Is that true?

yes, you can really target any demographic with PPV. I was just trying to say that perhaps there are some products that you should target when you start out to get you going. But really, different people have different results and you can be pleasantly surprised with a certain campaign that works as you thought it may not work with the demographics.

I think my concern is more like, if the demographic of the traffic network does not match with your offer, then it is much harder to convert since you will have less traffic in the right demo you are trying to advertise to. Is it true?
I was promoting an offer which has a demo of over 50+ age, but media traffic has the demo of 18-35, and i tried to target site with 50+ demo as well, and i could not make my campaign profitable, so it concerns me that, the demo of the network also affects how profitable the campaign will be.

Your correct in that you want to try and match demographics as best as possibly...but don't get too hung up on exact numbers. You never really know whats going to work until you test it. You can usually guess pretty good once you get an idea of the users on different networks but until then don't get too weighted down worrying about exact numbers...you might miss out on a campaign that would have otherwise been a winner
