Hi Guys,

Would really love to hear opinions on this. I want to get one and stick with it and quit looking :-)

Okay I am looking at a few:

Affilaite Prophet - Like the AIDA formula but reading through the forum looks like it has a few bugs and support is hit and miss. I also like how you can split test landing pages but honestly the AIDA formula looks to be the biggest thing it has going for it, though maybe it is hype?

Adtrackz Gold - Looks Good as well.

Prosper 202- Currently Using Tracking 202, Like it but haven't delved into it a whole lot. From what I understand Propser 202 is the same but self hosted correct?

Hippojaw- ?

Xtreme Conversion - Looks similar to the others.

Basically there are a buttload of these tracking software programs.

Prosper seems to be the standard but it is also free so that leads me to believe why it is the standard. But I know from reading everywhere it is good.

This is mainly going to be used with CPA offers.

Anyways would love to hear some thoughts and comments on this. Thanks for any help you can give me.

BTW the one thing I like over the paid versions versus Prosper 202 is how you can do split testing, cloaking, and all that other jazz without any codework or anything. I am looking for more Push Button plug and play stuff.

Prosper 202 is very good.

I use Affiliate Prophet to reduce my PPC cost.

I've resisted replying but here's my 2 cents...

Your question: What is the Best Aff. Tracking Software for CPA?

1. prosper202 (or tracking202 if you can't host it yourself)

2. Affiliate Prophet is not a tracking tool, it is a conversion tool

Using both helps you a) track your traffic and b) measure your AIDA process.

Simply implementing them is not a push-button solution. You have to analyze what both tools tell you and then you have to act (optimize) on that data.

I'd stick with Prosper 202. I don't know much about the others, but most of the good ones have some kind of traffic cap. Prosper 202 is the best for CPA at the moment in my opinion. Almost all other tracking programs have some kind of missing feature or weakness.

Hmm I was under the Impression Aff. Prophet helps track all your campaigns so you can see what keywords are profitbale, which ones you are getting conversions on, which offers are converting, etc...

So essentially it seems it tracks like Tracking 202 does but then has more detail abotu everything, at least from my use so far that seems to be the case?

I must be missing something.

And while I realize nothing is really, truly push button. I meant in the regard that I set it up, then run with it. Don't have to do coding and crap on the backend for anything. That is what i mean by push button just to clarify ;-)

Upload to the server and go.

I'd like to have a software that can help you track the profitable keywords on landing page that you can't edit (e.g. eBay). I read that Xtreme Comversions can do this through dynamic code (or something like that).

Can Prosper/Tracking202 do this?

Hey Kyle,

Yes, there is some crossover of functionality between the two but each has unique features making p202 better as a traffic tracking tool and AP better as a conversion tool.

Hope this clarifies my statements.

Looks like I need to do some further research into these. I want to find an all in one tool so I don't have to use different tools... If that is possible.

There are a gajillion out there so it is finding the right one I suppose, like everything else.

Thanks for the responses. Would love to hear any further insight into any of the tracking tools and what people are using and what works. I think I will try out Affiliate Prophet and go from there.

John when you say P202 is better as a tracking tool what makes it better over Aff. Prophet? In Your opinion...

I use prosper202 to track all my campaigns (cpv , ppc , facebook etc ) and it works very well. I would suggest it to anyone else. It's free , easy and most important it's self hosted.

I have it set up now. Trying to figure out how to rotate offers and pass subID data...

To pass subid data you need to set up your affiliate links the right way.
They are some good videos on p202's site on how to do this.

Rotating offers is a bit more trickier. You should use the code here :

Someone from the forum there wrote a script that will pass subid's through the rotation script I just need to figure out the install it's a little tricky.

Yeah tracking 202 works well. I use it on my servers and it does a pretty good job. But I would gladly pay for somethign more robust that has the capabilities of Aff Prophet and Adtrackz. I bought Aff Prophet and so far haven't really used it.

It wasn't all that easy for me to use though I have not dedicated the time to really learning it. Tracking 202 works well for most purposes and for now I am rolling with that, but dang't I would like to see some nice dedicated CPA tracking software....

Do you have anything else to report on affiliate prophet? I really want it but it almost seems to good to be true. Plus it sounds like the support sucks.

I messed with it a bit but they didn't have half the networks I use and none of the Advertisers I use.

So... I am no longer using it but it sure looks to be cool and from what I did use was nice to have everything in one location. I just wish they wouold either add more networks and advertising platforms or make the process of adding them easier. They took over a month to add some of the one I requested and never did add most of them.

I have it, just ain't using it really. Been using Tracking 202 mainly. I may have my team figure out how we can use it better but for now I am not using it.

Does anyone know if you can put BOTH Affiliate Prophet AND Prosper202 on one single domain? That way I can login to both tools on one domain.

I picked up A.P. like a year and a half ago. And its one of the hardest tools I ever used to track my conversions. First you need to use a FTP program to install the sucker(which at the time I didnt know) and I was using it to direct link offers on Google. The cool thing about it is that you can rotate 3 similar offers on 1 domain name. All direct linking on Google and I knew dudes that where making bank just direct linking offers like that.

But like I said that was sometime ago, who knows if anybody is still doing that.

Certainly dude. You can put any software, application or whatever you want on one domain.

You can either make subdirectories like this: DomainName.com/Ap or use Subdomains like: AP.DomainName.com, to easy my friend

BTW I agree AP is a bit hard to use. I actually haven't messed with it to much since I purchased it. It could use some better video training.

Let me know if you would like it installed for you or need help installing it and I can do it for cheap.

Hey Kyle, I know you started this thread a while ago debating what to use for tracking, etc. So after all this time...what do you use know? What has worked best?

For those wanting to use AP with P202, you might contact fellow warrior Stangracer (Derek Krein).

He has a WSO (video series) on setting up and using P202. He is also a heavy user of Affiliate Prophet and may be able to answer or assist you. Heck, he may even have a WSO or something to help out.

When I first started with P202, I got his very inexpensive WSO and have had some PM's here and there on tracking, AP and other tools. When it comes to tracking, he's the man in my opinion.

SO it sounds like T202 is the way to go, and I really don't need Affiliate Prophet as well?

EDIT: Make that T202 Pro, that looks really great! Not cheap, but looks like it may be worth it.

I use P202 since I like the control that self-hosting provides.

I believe that you will find P202/T202 to be the primary tracking tool used by most.

I second this, his WSO is fantastic for getting started with P202. Despite being a technical idiot so to speak, I was quickly able to get setup and get my campaigns tracked.

If you are interested in Affiliate Prophet, Derek also has an excellent video tutorial on how to quickly test offers using a pretty cool AP feature called "Affiliate Spy". It is very valuable to quickly see if an offer converts before you start building landing pages and writing content around it.

For the people who are saying Affiliate Prophet is hard to use, I don't know about in the past, but I haven't had any issues with it. I am not a techie by any means but it wasn't very hard for me to setup.

Well I never really fully used AP but for my Offers I use P202 for now. I have AP and plan to play around with it but have more pressing matters at the moment

So where is his WSO? Is it this one: Prosper202 Videos I just purchased those a few weeks ago and have yet to go through them but as soon as we finish up our Niche Site and before we ad our links I plan on digesting the videos. For $20 you can't go wrong.

Just to say for anyone still thinking about StatsJunky - don't. They seem to have died. I can't get a response out of them. I am annoyed because I wrote to them about improvements to their offering within my refund period (a few weeks ago) and then allowed myself to be persuaded by them that they had massive changes in the works and major upgrades. These were promised for August. It is now September and they do not respond to emails. Their forum is essentially dead with no new posts for months.

$347 lighter, I am off to look at tracker202.

I've used Prosper 202 and Xtreme Conversions and like them both. XC is a little more involved to set up, but I like some of the additional functionality it gives me.

I've used Prosper202 quite a bit in the past.

I recently checked out Bevo Media and liked it - and I also checked out CPVLab which is an awesome tracking tool.
