Default Newbie Question regarding CPA traffic types allowed

Hello, I am new to CPA so please forgive me if this is a down right dumb question.

With regards to ALLOWED traffic types for Maxbounty CPA offers, what does incentive, contextual, and search all mean? An offer I am looking at says NO to these three traffic sources, but I don't know specifically what they or what an example of them is.

Ok Marcus, it seems like you're really brand new to CPA. I'm in Maxbounty (I think they're great!), so I think I can answer that.

Incentive - this is where you're offering people something to complete the offer (it could be some freebie, bonus, file, etc.)

Contextual - this is typically done with banner ads that are relevant to the web page's content.

Search - self-explanatory, where people find your website through a search engine.

It sounds like your offer may be email only (correct me if I'm wrong), meaning that you can only mail out the offer to opt-in email lists.

Hello,

I have got a question about Maxbounty's traffic types also: I want to run a PPC campaign using google adwords. The ad will direct the visitor to the advertiser's site. Is the correct traffic type to choose for that "search" or "text ads"? As far as I understand it the type "text ad" is only for ads that I put on my website. Is this right?

Many thanks.

That is "direct linking" and Google will slap you like a "red headed step child"...meaning that Google will, most likely, not allow you to do that OR, if your campaign somehow gets approved, they will increase your costs per click so high, it will not be worth it.
