One of my goals for 2010, despite the recently changed-for-the-worse payout structure, is to get approved for EPN (eBay Partnership Network.) It cracks me up that there are so many Build a Niche Store type products being sold that require EPN to work, (but fail to mention how hard it is to get into EPN.) I must say, I found this copy enlightening (and funny) in the fine print of one BANS product: Quote:

My simple advice for getting approved..... Start a blog about something you know inside and out. Give that blog 10-15 posts and apply for the partner network. I too had trouble getting approved and finally came up with an idea. My wife loves to use coupons. So, each week I would scour the internet about local deals and coupon matchups. Also, I was leaving comments on other "do follow" couponer blogs back to mine. I was approved in less than 4 days and the .com domain had a registration of less than 1 month old. Make sure your site is free from any ads, no Adsense or other outbound affiliate links. No Amazon, nothing! Good luck and if you find something you know, write about it, get people interested, then apply. |

i bought a low PR three year old domain with zero traffic. cloned someones site, uploaded it to my host, paid someone to blast 2000 backlinks to it. and i got accepted to EPN within 1 week. the key is to make sure your domain registration matches your personal info, and to really spend some time writing the business description on the application. also make sure your IP matches the location where you claim to be from. good luck!

Yep ebay went thru a period where they just dropped affiliates that were making mega bucks! I guess alot of that had to do with another forum that had thread after thread on how to "pimp" their system. I got in when there were with Commission Junction and very easy then. "Mostly Harmless" Love that name! |
