Hi, I make a minor amount each day with CPA and was considering investing a few more hours per day to try and increase my earnings in this area. After a chat with a friend earlier he says VISA are introducing a lot more rules for CPA offers. He states that it's going to be a lot tougher to make money with CPA. The ones that concerned me are as follows: - 1 Click Upsells require the last 4 digits of the CC to be entered along with the CVV2 Code - Disclose of terms in 12 pt font directly above or adjacent to the "submit" button. - No billing on the 15th Day and Day 31. If you bill day 15 you need to wait until day 45 to bill again. And of course we had all the other rules a few weeks back. Does anyone else think that making money with CPA is going to drastically change? |

Drastically change? Perhaps, but not as bad as you may think. If you've noticed in this industry, there's more than one method to get about making a profit with CPA (whether in a good way or a bad way). These companies just don't realize, just because THEY THINK it'll be harder for someone to make money doesn't exactly mean it will be hard! It's just their opinion, and they're entitled to whatever they want to think . The FTC just cracked down on endorsements and things associated on blogs, landing pages, etc. Will they drastically change? Some probably will, but for the rest, disclaimers and such will just be added.

To be honest with you, if you are not up to changes in any industry - you don't belong here. You do realize their are other offers out there besides rebills that pay good amounts on a sale/lead. If anything these "changes" will get rid of the advertisers who shouldn't be in this industry anyways, and maybe some of the shaddy affiliates will go with them. Also, rebills are not "dying" FYI. So case in point, no, it will not. If anything, it will be easier. Jared |

can't get my head around that. Also, I didn't say they were "dying", they'll just be converting at a much lower percentage which means payouts will reduce. I know about sale/lead - have been in affiliate marketing for a fair few years now ![]() In any industry if you can't adapt to changes you won't make it but I've just heard that this was from Mike Hill, who I'm sure you've heard of. These changes are going to be a huge game changer. CPA networks are already removing certain offers and making big changes. I guess the only way to find out if this is worth my time is by getting my feet wet and throwing some traffic at some offers.

I'm sorry to say that if you go into promoting CPA with this mindset and outlook you will have a lot harder time succeeding. -John

Let me just maybe say something though...you say you make a minor amount per day. I made my first dollar ever with CPA on New Years. Don't have that "it's coming to an end" type of mindset. Just be creative, hey, you're doing better than I am, but I'm definitely not giving up.

Agree with above comments. Even if you have a bread and butter niche it is always good to become as diverse as possible. That means mulltiple income streams, affiliating as well as creating, free and paid methods and even how you get paid like paypal for example...anything can happen on any given day. |

It may effect, but I don't think that it will effect the incomes that much, because those security steps are only to protect against fraud. And there is always the opportunity to pay with paypal. Nowadays many people have almost paypal, so who cares about some security releases of credit card department?

This is in reference to all the rebill hype: it's not going to damage it too much. Visa en-stated new polices that CAN be worked around and ALREADY HAVE been worked around. Rebills are going to slow down for a bit, but EWA is still carrying them and will continue too. The upsells do change the CPA's that I'm getting direct from advertisers, and that falls down to affiliates. But like I said, rebills will stick around for awhile. Even with all the changes. |

Just wanted to say it is good to see Ryan Eagle here. I used to see him at Wicked, but that place is just a dump fest. I used to respect people there, but now it all about d-ick rolling newbies. This forum has really evolved and is much better than a year ago. Thanks to all who contribute here. Quote:

Some people just like to think negative. Who cares? If a tiny thing like this is going to stop you, well...you know the drill.
