Default Bid Price On Adwords?

Starting a test PPC campaign it shows on the google keyword search that the CPC is between $4.50 and $6.00.

What do I bid for the for the test ads?

Do I disregard the CPC estimate and bid a lower rate for the test?

Thanks

I would start in the middle and adjust from there.

If it's telling you between $4.50 and $6.00? No, I would not start at $.25!

If you wanna make sure that your ads will get shown just start somewhere in the middle. You're not gonna lose that much money if you watch it closely.

I haven't done too well with adWords (thanks for not running my ads Google!) but I've heard that the way to go is to bid high to start off with. That way you get more impressions, higher CTR and your QS goes up. So then you can bid lower and still get good impressions.
WHatever you do, let us know how it goes!
