My new video site is converting at about 35%

The problem with that is, It's on a very small scale, I've been trying everything, creating tons of videos, writing articles, and building my twitter followers.

I know that the site is good enough to pull in some big bucks but I need the traffic.

I guess that's the problem with most people online, it's not the website or the business it's the fact that we need more traffic.

Can you pleeeeease, give me some ideas to get a ton of traffic to my site because what I'm doing is taking up all my time but giving very little results.

Well no offense but I can see why people wouldn't bookmark it and go back, you have made it impossible to use without going insane.

maybe you could try SEO.. you could research some untapped keywords regarding your site and work on SEO..

You have a gateway on your main page that pops up right away. Maybe delay it for 15-20 secs or put it on your inner page?

I left the page after that gateway popup thingy, too damn annoying.
Add it after a few video views.

Thank you for your help, my main concern at this point is getting traffic, I think my conversion rate is pretty good. I just need more traffic, the guys making 3 and 4 thousand a day have tons and tons of traffic and some of their conversions are less than mine but they have what I need, the traffic and thats what makes the difference.

I hate those windows too, I could never get them open but the fact is, it's working. My web page is converting fine at 35%, I just need more traffic, that's what my post was all about, getting traffic.

I tried to add that popup to my site too, and yes it convert, but my traffic dropped by 70% - so I removed it asap.

Well, most of my traffic is from people refering friends or posting links on their websites to mine.
I doubt people would do that to your site, unless the content is very... very good.

Wealthyclark, if your site is converting at such a high percentage and you want MASSIVE traffic, why don't you try some PPC using Bing or Yahoo with the related movie/show keywords, which probably don't have too much competition? If your site converts so well, I think it'd be advantageous to pay for quick, targeted traffic that should give you an excellent ROI at 35% conversion!

Depending on the demographics of your ideal prospect and your niche you may want to try PPV (Pay Per View) also known as CPV (Cost Per View).

It is very cheap traffic...no google slaps or that kinda stuff. Starts at $0.015 per view

If you have a well converting video that may just work out fine for you.

In my opinion a good video can work great for this kinda traffic.

In my research I run across quit a few good low compitition key phrases but I did't think the search engings allowed bids on direct terms, such as the name of a movie.

I see ads on googe for these types of phrases somtimes but not much.

I guess you can find targeted traffic which does not contain the movie title. Try do a few searched, guess it will give you some great results.

I may be reading this wrong, but it seems the OP is happy with the usability, and at 35% conversion he's doing great.

His question really is about traffic.
