I submitted 1 article to goarticles.com and soon after it was on google page 9. I went to pingomatic and pinged it twice by mistake. Now I can't find it. Was it pingomatic that pissed off google?

| No, you can relax. Google doesn't get upset by that. You were not excessive.

So, you want to sell me another way to easily make "X" dollars in "X" days? ROFL too funny! IM success requires hard work and lots of time. Most newbies do not survive the steep learning curve. Anyone who says otherwise is probably selling you a fantasy.

That's how google works... We tend to think of google as static, stable, reliable etc. The more I build websites, the more I realize how "inaccurate" and fragile google search rankings can be.. Google is not just one computer, they have networks and servers and databases all over the globe. They are not all in sync all the time. There are many reasons for the search results to change.. Some days it puts a really weak and feeble website ahead of mine in the search, it makes no sense... Then after a while things are back to normal.. Yes, you could possibly do something to get google to flush your article, but I doubt it.. Perhaps it never really should have ranked well, it was a temporary anomaly? lol ! Monitor it over time, a few weeks, a couple of months, see how the article settles in google.. |

Well put Fred. OP - How do you know it got "de-indexed"? Try searching for the article URL in Google, eg. http://www.goarticles.com/cgi-bin/showa.cgi?C=2539436 - Google Search |

I'm sure it wasn't de-indexed. Try building a few backlinks to it and see what it does...

When I search my keyword I am on page 1 of google on my computer. But on other computers, it is nowhere to be found. Is there a way of resetting google for my real ranking? I have deleted all cookies/offline content/etc.

Google shows search results customized for you. When you click on any link in the results, it assumes that this web site is more relevant for you and rank it high when you do search next time. Just make sure that you are not logged into Google (or use private browser mode) to see organic results that everybody else will see... |
