Default What do you guys think about this campaign?

Ok this campaign (clickbank product) converted rather well at the end of last week. Had a sale everyday with a 1 in 100, 1% conversion that left me with some profit. Well I decided to scale it up with a different traffic source and got two conversions today with 3200 hits. I indeed lost some money from that. Should I continue with it? I soppose the new traffic source wasn't targetted at all.

Yeah I've been tracking with 202, just forgot to mention it. Most of the hits were coming out of the country, in fact it was coming from one main place. I stopped the campaign today because I didn't want to burn another 3200 clicks again. Maybe I can monetize it better? I was thinking about using a squeeze page and promoting the offer through email. That way those cold visitors may turn into warm->hot buyers. What do you guys think?

I say go for it - if your targeting and landing page are decent you might do very well with auto responders.

Try mail chimp . Email Marketing and Email List Manager | MailChimp that's free for the first few hundred users.

That would be a promising source of income one or two sales a day is not bad at all. As you said maybe you can do some targeted traffic to boost your income more. Autoresponder can get you going. Good luck Bud!

Looks like I will be trying to get an opt in list out within this week then! I turned on the 2nd traffic source again today (the one that got me 3200 clicks). It was turned on late so I didn't get as many hits as yesterday. None of them converted from that source, but I got two conversions from the my main traffic source instead. If only I can get two conversions from both traffic sources daily that will net me in the positive! Do you guys think I should put up a lander and collect opt ins for both traffic sources or just the secondary one? Maybe it's a stupid question, but let me know.

Also, when a campaign is converting but not breaking even, how long do you wait to collect statistics before optmizing and removing the keywords and text ads that don't work, etc? How much statistics, clicks do you base it off of? One week? Two weeks? 10,000 clicks, 20,000 clicks?

That's the thing, my targetting from the second traffic source isn't very targetted so maybe collecting a list and warming them up can be a good idea? Will it work? Anyone have success with warming them up with a list?

first make few sales and then speed up your campaign usign your profit generated.in this case, was the new traffic through cheap methods? from what you have mentioned here, i think its not targetted trafic at all.

I prefer targeted traffic if you have to warm people up that might be a lot of effort.

WIthout knowing more details its hard to give better advice. As a very general tup, for every source you are testing, make sure you are tracking as deep as possible. For some sources of traffic, you can make all your money from just a few sites or a few keywords. Sometimes you may have to lose money at first to find those winners though.

Best!
