If google gave you $100 worth of free adwords

What would you be more likely to promote? A CPA offer or a website that is already ranked but not getting tons of traffic or something else entirely? The reason I ask is that google sent me a $100 voucher for adwords today and the last time I used adwords, I spent 53 dollars and change to make 8.97 promoting a site of my own that needed traffic. Would prefer not to do that again.

I received the same $100 "gift" from Google and used it to generate next to nothing. If it was my money, I would have been pissed. As it turns out, I just reconfirmed that there are more cost effective ways to drive traffic.

That being said, Google is a good way to test very quickly...expensive, but good.

I got that in the mail yesterday too. A "Valentine's Gift from Google" and I've been trying to decide what to do with it too.

Wow!!! You got $100 I only got $75 i feel a bit ripped off...haha

Adwords can be a great way to test a product and also generate a list of leads pretty quickly...

I tend to if I am building a list, only spend about .50-80c per click that is if i want to add another 100 or so subscribers fast...

That could be because i may have a product launching soon or I am promoting a product that is of a high quality and want to offer to my list..
I do this say a month or 2 in advance I don't just do a PPC campaign add subscribers then sell to them straight away..

I build trust with my list, by giving them quality products, freebies and tips...
Then I will offer products once i get a repor with them...

Hah I love those free adwords credits.

I would either think of some good creative keywords, set up a quick landing page and then try and convert a trial offer. Without any testing or trackign at all and only $100 to work with you should be able to make at least 60cents on the buck.

Or build a squeeze page and do a one field submit. Then you can build a small list and hopefully convert some on the front end as well.
