How Do You Really Promote A CPA offer?

I was wondering how do you really promote a cpa offer. Like, do you promote them by using Article Bots? Craiglist Poster? Video Uploader like tubemogul? Mass Twitter Bot? Commenter bot? Facebook Friend Bomber Auto Message? Social Marker?
Ewhoring? Godcpa? or something?

What tools do you use?

Bravo or Kenster, if you're kind enough, could you list them? lol

If you want long term success CPA don't use black hat techniques or tools. Build blogs, landing pages and drive traffic through SEO , PPC , PPV.

If you wanted a low cost free way to convert affiliate offers I like article marketing and building multiple blogs and social network accounts all linking back to your main site.

I also like quality twitter accounts to drive traffic to all of your sites leading back into your main site.

use Grey and white hat techniques to build longer term websites that convert CPA .

I also like Facebook advertising,PPC ,media buys.

Like these guys have said, I'd highly recommend promoting offers through SEO if you're looking to do it for free. Otherwise PPC and CPV. Facebook is a great PPC network that allows you to promote a variety of CPA offers.

I started using PPC but realized I was using a lot of money doing it, too much competition, not enough sales, slow results, even with constant supervision and tweaking. Granted there are a TON of great keywords and high converting offers out there, I just didn't want to end up selling off my car to pay PPC debts! I started using StumbleUpon because it's pretty untapped and faces no competition.

I definitely agree with Luke that you stay away with black hat techniques . Instead focus on proven white hat techniques .

Traffic sources like PPC , PPV , Media Buys, etc. can make you lots of money ,if you know how to do them the right way .

That's right M.Morgan, it is just not worth it to spend time building on a shaky foundation that has no long term value.

Same can be said with most "bots"...eventually there could be a crash in that system.

I first started having success with a single offer that I just gave good content on a simple blog format and reached $100 a day that way....on just one offer.

Never got accused of spam, never had questions from the networks it was smooth sailing.

Yes, as the above guys who are very experienced explained, its not worth pursuing blackhat methods such as many of the bots and software out there. Some like tubemogul are obviously fine and I use.

I decided a while ago that I wanted to build a business where I can work less and less and make a steady or growing income. Blackhat techniques don't work like that and normally require a lot of effort as new hurdles and barriers come up that you now have to get around. I wanted to create automatic income streams.

With that said, I personally don't do anything particularly special. I just have a creative mind and continue to take action or better yet, come up with creative ideas, and have other people implement them for me.

So, sorry to tell you but no secret sauce here. For the most part, all the tools and knowledge needed to succeed are right in front of us...be it on this forum or elsewhere.

At the end of the day there are an infinite number of ways to drive traffic to your cpa offer. Each way has its ups and downs. What is important to remember is that just like most things in life, there is a certain order, a certain path that you should take.

As a complete newbie, its easy to read this thread and see the experienced marketers promoting offers one way or another and naturally want to focus that same way.

This is similar to a new basketball player trying to only hit long threes because he watches Kobe Bryant on tv hitting threes like its his business. That wont be an effective way to learn how to play basketball because you probably wont even be reach the hoop. Start by doing layups and then move to short shots and foul shots and then eventually shoot where the pros are shooting.

This is simlar to cpa marketing. As a beginner if you start doing PPC because you see the experienced marketers doing it, yet you haven't a clue what youre doing, you will get killed financially and probably give up because the pain hurts your wallet too much. Start by learning and using free or cheaper methods. Learn the ropes. Then move on to play with the big boys.

There is a progression, so keep this in mind if you are completely new and reading this thread. Think big, but start small. If you have small budget you dont necessarily want to jump in with the sharks right away

StumbleUpon - is good I have used it in the past - are you paying for traffic or just getting people to stumble your sites ?

I found that paying for traffic resulted in high bounce rates - they key is submitting sites made for S.U traffic and getting people to rate and review your site.

I still am getting traffic from Stumbled Upon but it is because I followed up with everyone that visited my pages and developed a relationship with them. That's when the real power of S.U became clear.

Oh I did some research and found out that my Twitter conversions were actually only 2% so it basically takes hundreds of tweets to a list larger then 6,000 to convert an average Cpa Offer.

Playing BlueFart game would not get you a sustainable business model - in my humble opinion.

SEO would be a long term thing.

To use paid method (cpc, cpv, media buys), you would need some cash to test things out initially. You would definitely need upfront cash so to speak.

SEO would be a bit slower but would definitely pay off. Article marketing is one of the way. Using Facebook Fans page is another way of using social sites to promote stuffs. I am not yet going into Twitter where you can use some powerful method to build list and monetize with those methods using CPA offers yet..

Video marketing is of course good, but please test it out manually before trying something more sophisticated, so that you know what is the DOs and DON'Ts in the CPA league

Sorry for that.
CPC is the acronym of Cost Per Click.
CPV is the acronym of Cost Per View.

As mentioned, any paid method require testing and cash to test upfront. Unless you have bulk load of cash to test, or else you should start out with something else.

Media buys are even more dangerous if you don't know what you're doing.

Search in the forum for media buys and you'll get what I meant.

The only option here is to find significantly more affordable alternatives.
Some PPC networks would charge you 1 - 5 cents per click.

If you are doing low payout offers, which is much more difficult these days, you better be aiming at lower volume, less competitive keywords so you can actually break your margin.

See the thing about this is that its tough to get into the huge money doing PPC to CPA on low payout offers because you need to target lower volume keywords but its hard to find enough volume to turn a significant profit.

Whereas a higher ticket item, if marketed properly, you can target high volume keywords, so even if your margin isnt as high, the pure volume will turn a huge profit. Even if you spend $25 to make a $30 conversion, you do this 1000 times a day and thats $5,000.

There are just a few guys using StumbleUpon now (I'm not one of them

), so there must be many opportunities there. However, choose offers to promote there very carefully! I think that most SU's users are kids and teenagers, so you need to advertise things that are free and fit this audience.

Work smart. Use the content network, mobile traffic, image ads... I promote offers with low payout on Google, so I can guarantee to you that it's 100% possible.

Also, don't forget about Yahoo! and Bing!

Could I ask what makes StumbleUpon so much better than PPC? You're talking about a social bookmarking site as opposed to a paid traffic source. There's hardly a comparison there, unless there is something I'm missing here.

WOW - This is like a bat out of hell!
If I can give you advise - Don't use black hat methods, you are digging your own grave.

Before I started SocialGalore, and this is a while back when I was still a rookie aff, when cpa in actual fact was fairly easier, only due to less competition, I just can just remember what an uphill battle the first 6 months were, but once you get the hang of it (advertising+marketing+tracking savvy), you will be laughing all the way to the bank, but you need to stay on the right side of the road.

What I just don't understand is why are affiliates gambling so much with their accounts. Yes sure you will be able to get away if the network is pushing big volumes, yes if you combine your traffic you might get away, but the thing I always worn my affiliates - Software might fail, software might fall, but man o man, software sure does not lie to you (I am sure you know what I mean)

You seem to be a savvy marketer - think of the long term success and goals.

Jump into media buys / ppc / cpm / ppv / social networks - facebook / plentyoffish etc.

One tool I use a lot in video marketing is Animoto, here the point is to put just around 8 images that grab your prospect attention and send them to offer page, with your affiliate link on the comments section, the best part of Animoto is that it allows you to generate very fast videos and you can "Stumble" them and get more visitors than with a regular video

I've also read about some offline methods that work and you can think of other twists on them. There are a few WSOs on here that are inexpensive and offer great methods!!

Ewhoring? LOL. Using ANY of these bots ( especially with Twitter ) is only going to make you look like a spammer and no one will want to buy from you anyway. Those things work in the beginning ( sometimes ) but are never good for the long-term.

I would suggest you buy the Kenster's guide, read it, and then immediately start implementing what you've just read. Then FAIL, FAIL and FAIL again until you finally get it right and succeed! You don't have to get it right, just get it going!

If you're looking for networks to place your ads on, then i would recommend Adbrite, AdsDAQ, and Media Traffic, you can get targeted cheap traffic that can convert well.

One tool I use a lot in video marketing is Animoto, here the point is to put just around 8 images that grab your prospect attention and send them to offer page, with your affiliate link on the comments section, the best part of Animoto is that it allows you to generate very fast videos and you can "Stumble" them and get more visitors than with a regular video
