Ive been seeing some large differences in demographics info between OFFERVAULT, Quantcast, and Alexa. Anyone else noticing this?? Which one should we actually go by in our CPA campaigns??

I've noticed discrepancies in them and more constantly, I've used Quantcast quite consistently with great results to cross reference stats for StumbleUpon CPA offers I've promoted. I think there wil always be natural discrepancies from all, because they all are powered by different engines, the only consistency is testing and optimizing! -Safe Travels |

Well, to answer my own thread here, I communicated with offervault. They told me that they also noticed very strange demographichs in Quantcast and thought they were not accurate. So, they do their own keyword research for the nich in question, then they find high traffic sites for those keywords and check the demo info on those and that is what they list on their site. I was seeing absolutely ridiculous stats on Quantcast. I was finding things like age group was 13 to 18 but the main income category was 60,000 to over 100.000 per year. LOL some rich kids man!!!! Or , I was finding on a site for black people personals, the main visitors were white males. So much for Quantcast. |

Quantcast guesswork is as reliable as anyone else's.

So, you want to sell me another way to easily make "X" dollars in "X" days? ROFL too funny! IM success requires hard work and lots of time. Most newbies do not survive the steep learning curve. Anyone who says otherwise is probably selling you a fantasy.

| Yes, they will be different - don't forget that different people use the same pc's, depending on who installs the software which tracks this or fills out the forms, etc..

Well, it has been suggested to me that Quantcast may be going by registrations for the IP adress. However, many computers have several people in a family using them. This could grossly throw thier data off. The parents could have the ip address registered to them, and its the kid thats online accessing the site. Or , if people are at work, the registration is to the owner and the emplyee is using the connection. Does the data show the employers demographics for the site that the employee is using?? It may be more accurate to contact the originators of the offer you are promoting or contact the owners of the site that you wish to advertise on and get the demos from them directly. |

Where exactly do you search for site demographics info on offervault? All I see there is the ability search for cpa offers.

there was a clickable button in the lower left of the screen once you open up the specific cpa offer. That means you have to click on the offer name first to open up that screen. then you will see two to three long buttons in the lower left. One is generally for previewing the offer site (landing page) and one is for demographics.

I see it now. But all they're doing is tapping in to quantcast's data...I looked at a dating offer, and the demographics it was showing were the demographics for eharmony.com, which wasn't the offer site, so I don't really get what they were doing there. Anyway, thanks. So, seems like quantcast is still the site to go to if you want to look at the demographics for ANY site, not just the particular offer you want to be promoting. |
