Default Is this publicity good for me?

Hi, I started article marketing a couple of months back, and am an expert author in a couple of sites. Recently I discovered that the articles I publish (quite new stuff) get re-published. (I published them on my wordpress blog, too.)
My name is in the post as author, and my aff links are untouched. I am just wondering if this is a good kind of publicity? I am ok with my articles being republished, as long as they are not rewritten into a crappy spam and my name and links are there.
Anyone has any experience?
By the way these are usually blog and membership content sites publishing my articles. I only found them via a test google search on P1.

Isn't that one of the major benefits of using article directories or similar sites? The whole point is for syndication of your content.

Your name gets branded and gains credibility, your affiliate links are being seen by new prospects and you're gaining more backlinks.

I don't see a downside.

Thanks, Tina, it just happened too suddenly, obviously I am happy with every type of free traffic I just got suspicious... But I believe you.

its the best kind of publicity, in my opinion, especially since they are keeping your aff links intact..............you'll just end up getting more trafficto, and maybe more sales of, the products you're promoting

Thanks for the feedback, just really wanted to give you an update. Now almost every article I publish gets picked up by others, and gets about 10-20 clicks overnight. I also discovered my article translated into Finnish yesterday.
Just wanted to remind everyone that this is POWERFUL STUFF to get targeted traffic from other people's websites for free, so Article Marketing is worth the investment of time and energy, original content is always a winner when it comes to bloggers trying to find content for their sites.
I found my loophole! Yippee!

That's exactly what you want: Going VIRAL! Your brand, site and link get distributed all over the internet without you lifting a finger. It means you are doing something right and you're one step closer to financial independence

Nick, you're right... I am a quite girlie girl when it comes to link building and SEO other than publishing blogs and articles. I do my keyword research as a must but don't really enjoy it. But these SEO blogs are managed by people knowing the stuff much more than me, so I usually rank PG 1 in hours, once for the article and at least two times because of other people's blog containing my links, so basically this is good for both, I piggyback on their SEO results, and they piggyback on my content.

P. S. The new trend is that my Youtube video articles get put on blogs too...

Wat do you think of duplicate content stuff? If I have the article on my blog, and other people pull it from a directory, am I not losing Google ranking because of the duplicate content?
