Hey guys, I'm trying to get started with PPV but I'm stuck on the landing page part. I have MediaTraffic and heard The banner can only be 750x550. But I wanna direct link my offer. So Do I just plug in my Direct linking URL and MediaTraffic will resize it once its live to 750x550?? I dont get it and its driving me nuts I just wanna get started already. Plus I called mediatraffic and they never returned my phone call!! |

When you set up the advert in MediaTraffic, there is a "test it" button. hit that, to see how your advert will look. you have to click "modify" to get there.

So, you want to sell me another way to easily make "X" dollars in "X" days? ROFL too funny! IM success requires hard work and lots of time. Most newbies do not survive the steep learning curve. Anyone who says otherwise is probably selling you a fantasy.

| Hi iamx. I can understand you wanting to jump in and get going, but just be careful with direct linking. I can tell you from my experience, direct linking is not the best way to use PPV traffic. You would be better creating your own pages, and having more control of the data, and how you test it. I’ve found their support pretty good in the past but I’d recommend that you email your account manager rather than phone them. Good luck with it anyway. |

You are thinking about it wrong. It doesn't resize your page to 750x550, that is the size of the pop up. So 750x550 of your page will be shown. You can put in your url in media traffic and hit test to see how much of your page is shown in the pop up. If most of your page is shown you are probably ok to DL. If it is cutting off important parts of the page and people are forced to scroll you will lose conversions. Most create landing pages to 750x550 so that they know the user will see there whole landing page.

AHHHH so many people telling me to direct others to make landers.. The truth is I'm not good at making landers. I got all this high tech Adobe bundle stuff on my desktop and dont know how to use it. I play around with Photoshop cs4 but I havent mastered it. So I guess I buy a domain make a lander from scratch, add the tracking software than I'm good to go? So what would be a good idea rotate the direct link offer vs. my lander??? And see which converts? |

Honestly, I usually always use a lander. Not saying that DL doesn't work. If i was you i would just DL it and see how it goes. I just like to have a landing page. Even if it is just a image of the landing page resized to 750x550 with a big blue CLICK HERE button. I like to do that for a couple reasons. One is I have the offer page open in a new window so it is full sized. Your interrupting people with ppv. So if you just pop a email submit up in front of them what incentive do they have to fill it out? The offer gives that to them a little, but with a lander you can use different things to catch their attention. (crazy pics, use urls your targeting in your ad, stuff like that) What do you need a lander for? I can probably help you out. You can send it via pm if you want. |
