Default Using twitter to convert CPA offers (Direct Linking)

I have been testing twitter lately with my affiliates and am finding a very low CPA conversion rates using direct linking but am very bullish on this since I have been able to convert almost any CPA offer.

So I am seeing around 1% conversion rate on average.

Your followers should be over 10,000 and you should tweet as much as possible but never more than 50% of your over tweets and stay within twitters TOS/rules.

Anyone else seeing this or better conversion rates? Do you have any tips for people?

so you're converting at 1% a tweet? IS that 1% of your following or 1% that click the link?

If you're getting 100 CPAs(1% of 10,000) a tweet, you are rocking it.

Twitter conversions are always low.

I'm not sure what that means.

I think what he means is that the promotional tweets (with the links in them) should not exceed 50% of the total tweets he posts.

is a maximum of 50% of tweets with a link a rule or just an assumption/recommendation ? please clarify, I couldn't find anything within the TOS.

That 50% recommendation is not specifically stated within the TOS, I think he was recommending that you stick very carefully to the Twitter TOS when doing CPA promotions as described by him so as to keep your account in good standing.

I find that I get better results with fewer promotional tweets.

When an account has an obvious promotional bias, those receiving the tweets develop a resistance to sales pitches.

I've used 20% and 10% levels of promotional tweets and get better results at the 10% level. This allows more opportunity to bond with readers. Those who send me a lot of promotional material are soon recognized and I quickly unfollow them.

I get an even better result with a "disguised" promotion, where a link to a blog post which is of genuine interest allows an email address to be captured, with email follow-up.

It can also be done by sending readers direct to an opt-in page but this, being heavier, is trickier to use as it is still important to offer value/interest in the tweet that contains the link - ie, something more than saying 'join my list'.

CPA offers are often opt-in pages but it seems wasteful to me to send readers of tweets direct to a CPA offer. I'd rather have them sign up to my list first and then send them on to the CPA offer.

Hey,

adding two many affiliate links in
your tweets is going to be deadly
for your reputation, at least I suffered
under this stuff..

Add quotes, link to blog posts, videos,
funny stuff, cool content, and review,
articles, and people will love your stuff.

Just being to much on one side is counter
productive.

I´ve been tweeting out to value packed
reviews most of the times, where I SOMETIMES
promoted affiliate programs on the end of the post...

Had alone 2 sign ups yesterday...

Provide solid and continues content and people will
love your tweets..

All the best,

Gerald

I've heard Chris Brogan recommend 12 valuable/informational tweets to each promotional tweet. I'd say he's right.

Twitter conversions is always very low. 1% is usually considered very good conversion rate at twitter.

They can be challenging to track as well, because alot of people use apps like Hootsuite and Tweetdeck; so the referrer doesn't always show twitter.com. You can use Google's campaign tracking or (if your affiliate program offers it) a campaign sub-id.

Hi, I'm fairly new to CPA marketing and would really appreaciate some help. If you have CPA offers, where are the links that you can send to your prospects (not banners but direct links that you can shorten)?

I want to place them of Facebook and Twitter but I just dont know how to find them, and obviously banners won't work on these social media sites. thanks for the advice in advance! Ivana
