Default Testing Offer By Signing Up Yourself?

Hey.

My question basically is does anyone here sign up for there own offers just to assure themselves leads/sales are being recorded? My scenario comes from just from some personal occurrences with different networks having different conversions with the exact same offers.

When I usually find a good offer to promote or have been recommended one from a AM, I most often don't get the same payout from each network even asking for equal payout bumps.

However, from just several offers I have promoted I notice a big difference in my conversions when I change my offer to somewhere that has a higher payout. Each statistic comes from a month of running the offer from the same traffic sources.

So do any of you have someone or yourself, sign up for the offer and see if you are credited? Im sure the lead buyers don't like this but I do think it gives the person marketing it some type of assurance that his/her work is being rewarded.

Thanks

Hefner

I would be afraid of getting banned for that.

Yeah, its highly frowned upon for the obvious reasons. Some people do it, most people dont. Some people get caught, some dont. Risky path though.

Would they know if you got a relative/friend to sign up or buy?

Yeah I understand. Just seeing if there is any ideas to logging tracking issues.

It doesn't hurt to do it once, but more than that is frowned upon.

Get a friend to do it. Damn, send me the link and I will fill out the offer for you. As long as it's not a 12 page survey

I would say its not worth getting banned from a CPA network by testing your own offer, as suggested getting a friend to try it out is probably the safest option.

Yeah, getting friends to do it is also very doable but still frowned upon but you prob wont get caught. Just remember that somebody is paying you for those "fake leads" so dont do it too much. Dont want to be unfair to the advertisers.

I think is a risk that you don't have to take, and it's definately not worth to get banned from a CPA network because you were signing up yourself.

To the OP, I would only consider doing the above in two instances. First if you just joined a relatively new and somewhat unknown CPA network, or as in my case, if you send 1500 clicks to an offer and get not one single conversion, then something is either up with the network or the advertiser.

Sure enough, in my case the advertiser was shaving like a (female dog) and based on what I informed my AM about, was completely dropped as an advertiser for that particular network.

So basically, if you must do something like this do it for a reason other than getting paid.

Peace
