Default UPDATE

Hey Guys,

I'm posting up another thread, because everyone is so helpful in the warrior forum. I put up a blog to help skinny guys gain weight. I felt this would be an appropriate niche for me, since I am a personal trainer and have a lot of knowledge in this area. I offering product reviews of these 3 top muscle building programs. If you guys could check it out, and give me tips on how to make this website better , I would greatly appreciate it. Anything you guys can do to help me out!

gain-weight-and-muscle.net

Thank you so much everyone,

Dan

Great work mate....

I like the way it looks...

A couple of things i would suggest...

  1. I think you should have and optin form on your blog... You could give away a free "mass gaining report" "10 ways to explosive muscle growth"or something like that...
  2. I would upload some pictures in your articles, only 1 just to break up all the text...
Plus you could bold some of your words to break up the text...
Plus do a test and see how black text looks, i always find black looks nice, clean and very readable...

I hope this helps...

Well done again, looks great.

I also have a muscle building site and what I have added besides the obvious ebooks is Amazon products as well. Things like homegym's dumbles etcetc anything related to fitness.
I used my own plugin which i sell in a wso but you can use any other you like as well.

Everything looks good.

You should definitely get an opt-in box in there though. You will be losing money without it. It is better to sell your products directly to your list.

The information on your blog is very informative and I like it. You may want to look at polishing your design a bit and invest in a professional wordpress template and cross-link it with your Twitter and Facebook accounts ... and do some YouTube videos. People LOVE videos when it comes to fitness and health explaining what they need to do. Give it a shot.

Yo, you can get 1000s of free word press templates on their website word press dot org. I cant post links yet because I don't have 15 posts, but i will soon. Just go to extend and you will find lots of great templates there. Also, I think you could get a better domain name, I wouldn't recommend using dashes, but thats just my opinion.

Thanks killer, the reason I picked the doman, was cause it is the main keyword I am trying to rank high for. It has high volume , low comp. I tried to get the one without the dashes, but it was taken : / . By the way guys, I have just updated the blog! Check out the new template!

It looks good, but if you're trying to make any money you're doing it backwards. My two cents:

1. TOO MUCH Information. Nobody will buy anything when you've given them so many great tips right there. It looks like you're giving away the farm and want nothing in return. I think I saw one ad on your homepage only, but I was just scanning.

2. You have no calls to action. You want every article "pumping up" (pun intended) the customer into buying a certain CPA offer or whatever you're trying to sell. Give them reasons to want it, tell them you have the information or products that will work for them, then tell them where to get it, but don't give the info away for free. I know people want to be helpful, but that is working against you if you want to make money.

3. Sea of text. So much text, so few ads or offers. Basically you want them passing through your sales funnel, seeing catchy offers along the way, getting some information, and getting the idea that YOU have what they want.

4. Email opt-in! Get people to sign up for free tips instead of giving them away in your posts. Then market to your list once a week, give them a few tips, and pump up different offers every week, or the same offer from different angles. Aweber is a great tool for this, I have no affiliation, but it works nicely for smaller email lists, and people just starting out.

Being desperate is the worst, I've been there many times in my life. This will not work over night. This is a tough niche to get into, so try to acknowledge every day that this will not just start pumping out cash like magic one morning. It's going to take time, testing, modifying, and planning. You might also want to diversify and make many websites, related or not, just in case you have a dud. There are some websites that just won't go anywhere, and you'll put 10 times more effort into them than you would a different niche to see the same results. Don't get locked into one thing or you'll go insane and be very sad if it doesn't ever show decent results.

I've rambled long enough. Good luck.
