Default Craigslist Autoposter - Help for a newbie to the online marketing world!

Hey everyone!!

I need some advice and I was hoping to get some help.

I have started an online jewelry shop and I want to place an ad out on craigslist in every "city"/"area" on CL once a week. This is a very tedious task so I am looking for an auto poster of some sort. What do you think is the best one out there? I have seen Clad Genius and CL Bot Pro, are they any good? I don't want to waste my money on something that doesn't work, esp. with how much they're running.

Thank you all so much in advance!!!

Jill

Hi Jill, welcome!

The tricky part about CL Autoposters is finding one that works consistently. Remember, as smart as these autoposter developers are, there are craigslist people that are just as smart blocking them. So in my experience, software will work well fora while and then get outdated and not work anymore.

Another option would be to hire an autoposter. Like outsourcing anything, I would suggest testing out a few people and see how well their ads stick. Whoever works best, stick with them.

Classified marketing is a tricky game. Tons of traffic if you can get your hands on it though!

Hmm. So there is no program that you would recommend. It's just such a tedious task! Where could I find a place to outsource as well? (Im from NJ too btw

Speaking of Craigslist, if one has a physical product they sell online, like a paperback book, do you think it is ok to also sell it on Craigslist over and over again?

If they contact you, can you just then send them to your website to order it online?

I have not really got into Craigslist, but I was thinking about doing this. Wasn't sure if this was against the rules though.

Anytime you are posting to multiple cities it's against Craigslist's terms of service, absolutely. It doesn't make it illegal, just against their terms of service and if you were doing it on a massive scale and making millions or hundreds of thousands, they might sue you. Otherwise, their software is always working hard to just ghost your ads.

In my experience if you want to autopost to CL, you need clear IP addresses and I mean loads and you can still get banned. They can be costly. An IP that has been used already on CL for posting is already banned most of the times. CL recently came up with a rule that they don't allow you to post in the same category more than 2 times a day. So I think in the past loads of people managed to do loads of money with CL blackhat methods but it is not working anymore.

So if one has a book to sell, can you post it in the category "books" in 2-3 cities at a time? Or is it best to just stick with one at a time?
