Default Testing!!! How much money is enough?

Hellooo there,

I know many of you guys made GREAT amount of income by promoting cpa offers. The title is pretty explanatory I suppose, how much money should be spend on testing? I did some media buys few weeks ago, my first campaign got 47,405 impression with only 55 clicks (which is 0.12& CTR), but NONE of those clicks converts into leads. Fyi, it's a simple ringtone offers, in which users should submit their phone numbers, and then type the PIN that the advertiser has sent. I spent $43 to get those impressions.

My second campaign, which is an email submit (games related) was relatively better, got 38,333 impression with 79 clicks, but STILL no leads generated.

Do you guys have any idea?

Ooh, and btw my ad network was adbuyer.

Thank you,

Edward

It's not so much "how much money" as it is "how many clicks"

If you only get a couple clicks, you cant say anything with certainty. It all comes down to how much traffic you can throw at an offer to see how it converts, while not spending too much per click

Edward,

I usually test with USD1,000 budget for a start. It still depends on the Budget you have.

#2. Reputable JV Program, $499 commission

Yes everybody will have a different amount they test with. Some are in the single digits, some in the many thousands. It really depends on your personal financial situation and to a degree, your risk tolerance.

If you are using a landing page, remember that you need to optimize.

If you are direct linking, remember to split ads.

Your offer doesnt relate to the type of traffic you are sending to it.

If you do one of those crappy game signups, you need MUCH more than just a few clicks to analze a source. Try adwords, spend a few hundred bucks and see if you still cant get any leads.

Google still has the highest quality of traffic available.

Hi guys,

thanks for the feedback, really appreciate that. Do you have any "rule of thumb" how many clicks is enough to determine whether or not the offer is profitable?
