Default Mediatraffic views not real?

Hi all,

These last few days I have been experimenting with PPV. Following the advice of some warriors I tried Mediatraffic.
I used Prosper 202 for tracking.
I took a very succesful campaign I have been running for some time with PPC and SEO, and gave it a shot to see if I could scale it with PPV. I noticed that views reported by Mediatraffic and accounted in Prosper202 didn't translate to actual hits to the affiliate campaign, that's why I talked to my affiliate manager in order to see where those visits were getting lost.
They tracked the info I provided, and saw that a very big percentage of my PPV generated visits didn't really go through, as pages didn't load fully and were stopped before generating a complete visit (all elements of the page loaded, as they use javascript to check that page is fully loaded before accounting for the hit).
Did any of you have a similar situation where your PPV traffic was somehow stopped before showing the content to the users?

Thanks for your comments!

Did you direct link (through prosper ) or used a landing page?

If you direct linked it's very normal , since your ad is shown in a popup and most people have the tendency to close them immediately , so that's why the js doesn't load fully and track the visit.

Thanks for the answers, but could you please elaborate further?
In a nutshell, PPV is about an unwanted popup (pop over yeah). How would people differentiate between a direct linked offer and a landing page, rapidly closing the former but accepting the latter?

It would be more or less the same thing. However, when direct linking, you see all the visitors as clicks so you have no idea how many people actually are interested on your "popup".
By using a landing page , you can actually have more stats , as the landing page ctr will give you a rough idea of the interest in your page. With that data you can optimize your lp and increase the ctr , thing you can't do when direct linking.
