First time setting up a campaign with about 60 URLs with media traffic. Set it up last night, target is the US. Was expecting good traffic when i woke up, and i found only 1 HIT! Just 1!! ahhh. The URLs are from the first 3 pages of search results for a few keywords that are supposed to get around 80k hits a day all up. Some you tube URLs and other URLs from other places are thrown in there also. I know its spring break in the US and its also coming up to Easter time. Could this be the reason for the no traffic on PPV media traffic? I haven't been around long enough to notice any drop in traffic around this time of year, but because its Easter and not Christmas or the start of the year when people are rushing to buy stuff. I guess it makes scene. Anyone else getting similar results? And obviously I am not targeting Easter related stuff! lol |

Just remember how Media Traffic works. It will only display the ad to people who somehow opted in when installing a screensaver or some other application they work with. This traffic is not evenly distributed among all nches. You can have whole niches with no people using Mediatraffic... Quote:

Its weird. Yes i am the highest bidder. Im targeting PS3 related stuff, so its pretty relevant to the user base of media traffic. I hear about other people running like PPS stuff targeted towards mums at home and things (people who would be using the PC while kids are at school) and they seem to get decent traffic! Guess il just try different niches, and talk to my account manager next time i see him online. |

I think , You are bidding on a very small number if URLs. In order to get a large number if views, you need to bid on a large number of URLs. But, make sure that the URLs are targeted. I hope it helps. Mike |

Be sure to check the alexa and quantcast rank for the urls you are bidding. This way you get an idea which urls are going to get traffic and which not. |

MediaTraffic sucks. The ROI there is pretty bad compared to Lead Impact, Traffic Vance, and AdOn. DirectCPV is even worse in my experience.
