| "If the offer is a simple signup with no offers in their reg path we are fine with Iframes. If they have co-reg offers or a pathway with other offers in it, then it’s not allowed." I know I could have replied to his answer with a big "huh?" but I thought I would ask here first because I also wanted to get some opinions on how iFrames affect SEO. I don't plan on having the iFrames on my homepage, i will use them on the offer review pages linked from my homepage. Hope this makes sense... (A big thanks to Kenster for an awesome WSO. This is where I got the information on iFrames......Great information!) ![]() |

He's basically stating if there are no other co-registration, or offers in-line with the promotion, you can use an iframe. Example: You are going to a email submit form for a gift card, if there is also a pop-up or additional offer tied in with the sales page, you cannot use an iframe because you could be circumventing part of the companies lead capture, or sales efforts. Experts....Correct my explanation if I'm wrong. |

Ok...so if signing up with a particular offer also gave you the opportunity to sign up with other similiar offers, than that would probably be an example of an offer I couldn't use iFrames with? I wonder if there is any way to tell, other than actually signing up for the offer yourself, if there are other co offers existing.... Do you know anything about the SEO stance on iFrames? I am assuming it would be hard to optimize a page that only consisted of an iFrame, but do you know if Google or any other of the major search engines have a bias against sites that use iFrames? Like, would the other pages suffer? Is it frowned upon? I wouldn't want to lose my rankings in the SE's. |

If your just promoting the e-mail submit your fine plain and simple ![]() I don't think iframes would be ideal for SEO |

The use of iframes on a single page of your site is not going to affect the rest of your sites rankings. You hopefully are building up back links and content for the rest of the site as a separate process from your offer page. To be 100% safe, you could put the offer on a subdomain, which Google sees as a completely separate domain, and then it will not have any affect on your primary domain. You can then choose whether you want to use iframes, or just redirect the subdomain to the offer. |
