Hi warriors, Basically been throwing up some videos in the movie niche just testing the water and one of my videos has quite strangley started gathering a fair amount of views. I've had over 2500 hits in the last 3 days, with only 40 people clicking my CPA offer and no conversions. Its only a email submit and wasnt expecting the video to get popular. Its growing by about 1000 hits a day so i was wondering if i could improve it in anyway? I've been putting iPad offers in the description with something like "Who wouldnt want to test and keep the apple iPad?" or "Want a free iPad?" These had no conversions after the video was at 1500 so i figured i'd put a movie offer on the video seeing as its a bit more related. So i put a simple one on where they just had to download a toolbar to watch free movies, i put something like "Watching free movies online couldnt be any easier" with my link next to it. Its not an ugly link, i ghosted it via tinyurl. So my question is for people with video marketing experience. How many views did it take for you to start seeing some income? Am i being impatient seeing as 2500 views is barely anything? What am i doing wrong? Any thoughts welcome Cheers Shaun |

Every 1000 new hits i try to rotate it. Had one email submit for the iPad, one to download a toolbar for movies and a risk free trial for dvd rentals.

Are you putting anything actually in your video or just hoping you get people looking at the description? Im assuming the second one because you are rotatign all different kinds of offers. The good thing is that you have the traffic generation down, now you just need to work on getting peoples attention now that they are viewing it. Should be converting more than that. |

| I have to say I am not surprised. I use video alot for CPS. I am running a campaign with MaxBounty and it was VERY hot - Ive had 20,000 views on Youtube with 47 conversions. I made a nice $150 - with $3 payouts for each conversion but i had to work so hard to get that. I know its not much but its better than nothing. It does seem to be a case of u need A LOT of views before u see any conversions - thats my experience anyway. My top performing video is on the 1st page of Youtube for the search criteria i keyworded it for. It often depends if people have any interest in the offer in the 1st place - if Youtubers are searching for such a thing. Plus you have to make the video engaging to increae conversions. Other things u can do is to change your channel settings - not may people do this but it makes a difference. Also try attaching yourself to popular videos in the genre u are advertising in or failing that then any other genre. That often helps. I tend to do that then ask people to look at my channel when i comment on a video. Might aos help to look at similar videos and look at the keywords/titling thet are using and change your video accordingly. |

Hi Shaun, I've had more success actually integrating my offer into the actual video. Not sure if you are boosting videos or creating them yourself, but most people just go and watch the movie and if you drop a hint of a free ipad into the actual movie, your click through should jump tremendously. Must be done in a crafty, non-salesy way though. Just spark peoples interest enough to stop what they are doing on youtube to check out what you are talking about. And as with any form of traffic, keep testing and testing and eventually you will get the hang of what works and what doesn't! its an art! |

Thanks for the tip, do you add annotations or actually edit the video yourself? If so how do you do that? Youtube is telling me all of my viewers are female aged 13-45 so i thought i'd put a weight loss offer there. Not had enough views to test it yet but its a RFT so we'll see. How accurate are youtubes statistics on age/gender? Cheers

You can add annotations. I created slideshow and video compilation videos and then added slides that teased the viewer about what I was offering. Let your sales page sell them. The point of the video is to get them to your sales page. Be creative!

Cheers guys i'll give it some thought. The one problem i do have is finding the right offer. I cant find a iPad offer which is international and so most of my leads are turnt into the internation re-direct. Is there a CPA company which does loads of international offers? Im currently with neverblue and most of their internationals are all risk free trials, when all i want is a email/zip submit Also to jayesser, I checked out your videos and i was impressed with how you cloaked the affiliate links. May i ask how you did it? Im guessing you bought a domain name for each? |

Dude the key is to find offers that YOU yourself would want to do. Make sure there email submits. Spend a day looking at different offers in your CPA networks. Take a look at which offers are converting well on the networks. Advertising on Youtube is ALOT of work bro. It's very easy to get lazy at this. Once the money starts rolling in keep it going. It is VERY possible to make a couple of $100's a day on Youtube. But to get to that number is TONS of work in involved. But once it's set it runs on auto pilot for sure.

On a side note.. Sometimes I go threw the forums and see guys talking about PPV conversion problems. And how they cant even get email submits to convert at all. Alot of these guys spend $20 or $30 testing out an offer that only pays $1.25 thats NUTS! Just to only get ONE conversion! And I run ALOT of the same offers these guys do but on Youtube and have no problems getting them to convert (and for free) So I say that to say this: Youtube is one of the best free marketing tools out there. Now if they would only stop changing the description area location everything would be great!! lolz |

Remember that you have to "Sell" in your videos. Which can be interpreted in different ways. Give them a good reason to jump off your video by clicking your link. Then you have to test if direct linking converts or do you have to put up a pre-sales page that motivates them to take action. For example: Direct linking wasn't working well and had trouble getting people off my video to the offer. And I was just having fun and testing this offer. So, I added annotations, I added motivating music to create emotion (just like they do in shopping malls) and added a pre-sales type page to sell the offer and my conversions spiked! Just be patient and test what works for that particular offer. |

Hi guys thanks for all your responces, most helpful. Im not scared of hard work so i will keeping at this method untill i crack it. It helps that i enjoy doing it aswell ![]() At the moment im still learning how to create websites/dreamweaver/html so im only direct linking to the CPA offer. Could someone answer me this please, how accurate are YouTubes statistics when it says all my viewers are female? I emailed my AM asking what was the best coverting freebies with first page email/zip submit and she recommended me a few. Seeing as all my viewers are female according to YouTube i've put a good converting (according to my AM) grocery coupon under the video with annotations on the video pointing out the link. I guess i just have to keep testing ![]() Thanks guys, helpful as ever. |

Shaun...if you want to try a pre-sales type page...you can easily and quickly make one for Free with Weebly or Webs -have your domain forwarded to your pre-sales page that would have your CPA Banner ads on it ....I would recommend Weebly

I have been doing YouTube videos for CPA for about 3 months now. It took me a while to figure it out but I'm finally making good money with it. I've learned A LOT since I started. Believe me, it's all in the details. One detail a little off and the thing fails. Put a link up here to let us see the vid and I'll guarantee I'll be able to tell you what's wrong and what's right about it. Another thing to remember is that YouTube traffic is young traffic. Young traffic doesn't convert as well as others. Also, once the lead is sold to the advertiser, they will have difficulty converting and your leads will get scrubbed big time. They might even eventually deny your leads. This hasn't happened to me yet, but I've heard it does happen. |

Yes, for me, what worked best was referencing the offer in the video (not just putting in description box) but I never did well when I hard sold the visitor in any way on youtube. For me, my best results came from teasing the viewer to visit my page without actually selling them yet. There is a tricky balance between letting them know enough about your offer to want to check it out without making it seem like a salespitch which doesnt work well at all. Quote:
I wouldnt be so fast to chalk something up to luck. Try and see why people were visiting. Was the title good? always try and figure out why traffic is coming or not coming. The best CPA marketers learn to test everything and always backtrack how and why something happened or didn't happen.

I'd be interested in getting a link to your vid as well please Shaun - I'm learning the ropes of CPA/video marketing too, but come from a professional video production/TV commercial background, so may be able to share some useful feedback.

This apple Ipad went bad for me...don't know why but I've tried it and brough some 70-80 clicks on it without one conversion. I can't figure out why because it's the newest hottest apple's gadget...

I may be naive about this but when I see those offers and have clicked on them long ago they brought me to a series of offers and sometimes pages of them and you have to accept one of them before you can even qualify for a free "anything". Big turn off to me so I never ever bite on those anymore. Too much of a pain and then if you are required to give your phone number it's difficult to get them to leave you alone. Have you tried adding any annotations in your videos with a strong "call to action"? All the Best, Sally |
