Ok, so I have heard about the google slap and didn't really experience it up until a couple days ago. Before I was just basically linking to one of my seo clickbank blogs and the conversions were pretty good and I had a decent quality score of 7. But, I have recently been trying to approach more ways of driving traffic to cpa offers. The only problem I have is that a lot of cpa offers are in super competitive niches, so I tried going with a less crowded niche..not a lot of adwords ads. Basically it was a simple email submit offer for a hot product . You know which one I'm talking about. But the thing is, I have heard all about direct linking to cpa offer landing pages and getting slapped, but I did it anyway just to test. Well, kind of to my surprise, the campaign did okay for about 2 days. I was only bidding on 2 keywords and my words were all through the ad and my ctr was about 3%. Anyway, my quality score was at 5 since the beginning but after two days, my campaign was rated at a 1 for poor landing pages. I guess you can get away with a crummy landing page for a short while...that is until a human reviewer comes on the scene. But, I was making about 200% with the campaign for those days. So, to get to the point, do you guys actually use adwords for simple zip/email offers. I know the margins might not be that great, and there is always the trademark issue with stuff like "***popular company*** giftcard" If so, what do you do to get your QS up and staying up. I have recently read that you almost need to have a full content site like you would be creating an seo based site. It seems somewhat difficult to create a whole site about a zip submit. Thanks for any help. |
